As I said before, without a bona-fide finisher, this is a .500 team that will miss the playoffs.

I could go on, but seriously, there is nothing but mediocre through 41 games. They're not terrible, like the Kings, Caps or Oilers. But there seems to be nothing special either.

I have given them a "C" because they have been sputtering. They have surged at times, but not to the "A" level, and have fallen back, but not to the "F" level. To be honest though, I'd say a C minus.

yeah what DK said.....but might i add...this team has no charcter or heart...i aslo think we are very capeable of making a very strong rush in the second half....but we need to get back to a team game and eliminate any individual egos on this team

You must not be watching the same team I am.

You think the Ducks have shown any character or heart

This is essentially the same team that won the cup 6 months ago. I see heart in Getzy, Perry, Giguere, Rob Niedermayer, all of the defense and a couple of the new guys. I see character in every single guy that won that cup. They are not having a good season. They are certainly not dumb. They, as a team may on occasion lose it, but so do all the other teams in the league with the exception of Detroit and Ottawa (seemingly). Who lost the cup 6 months ago, didn't have a short off-season and will not win the cup in 6 months.

What do you call a team that makes the same mistakes repeatedly, confesses to making them, acknowledges that these mistakes must stop, and then goes there the next night and repeats them?
Where do you see heart on a team that rarely plays a 60 minute game? And as far as being essentially the same team, they lost Selanne and Penner and with them a bunch of points which haven't been replaced. They lost -- literally -- Bryzgalov and replaced him with a Swiss cheese and, until two weeks ago, they lost Scott.

That's Ben Franklin's definition of insanity...
I gave them a C, but it's more of a D+/C- range, just gave them the benefit of the doubt that they can do better than below average.
