TSN's Ice Chips:
Ducks center Samuel Pahlsson said he likely will miss his seventh consecutive game Monday night. Pahlsson has an abdominal strain and is trying to strengthen the area. He does not have a target date for his return. "I don't know when I'm playing," Pahlsson said. "It's gotten a lot better. It's just a matter of when." - Orange County Register
Thrashers coach and general manager Don Waddell moved Colin Stuart onto Marian Hossa's line because of his ability to forecheck. He and Hossa both scored unassisted goals Sunday, and Stuart has four points in five games since being called up from Chicago to replace Jim Slater, who is out with an undisclosed illness. Defenceman Steve McCarthy was a scratch Sunday because of a strained oblique muscle (ribcage) he injured during a shoving match Friday against Carolina. - Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Daniel Paille was held out Sunday. Paille suffered a possible concussion and was groggy after he was knocked out of Friday's loss by a hit from Ottawa's Anton Volchenkov. - Buffalo News
Martin Havlat returned from a groin injury Sunday, but it doesn't appear centre Jason Williams, who has also been sidelined with a groin injury, is close to joining Havlat on the ice. Brent Sopel, who broke his finger Dec. 26 and has missed five games, said he was "taking it day by day" in his recovery. Defenceman James Wisniewski missed his fifth game since injuring his knee Dec. 26. - Chicago Tribune
Centre Brad Richardson was assigned to Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.
The Stars assigned defencemen Mark Fistric to Iowa. With Fistric gone, the Stars have the minimum of healthy players needed, so Sergei Zubov (hand) is expected to be ready. - Dallas Morning News
Coach Mike Babcock said Sunday he will rotate Chris Osgood and Dominik Hasek every other game at least until the 60th game of the season. - Detroit News
Coach Jacques Lemaire said he expects Mikko Koivu to return either Thursday at Detroit or Friday at Chicago "for sure." Koivu had an hour-long practice Friday, his first with teammates since breaking his leg Nov. 16. - Pioneer Press
Defenceman Ryan Suter was a healthy scratch along with right wing Jed Ortmeyer on Saturday night. - Tennessean
Radek Martinek skated with less pain Sunday in his bruised lower right leg. Coach Ted Nolan said he's hopeful Martinek will return later in a five-game trip that ends Jan. 13 in Ottawa, "but I'm not banking on it." - Newsday
Simon Gagne (concussion) and Scottie Upshall (right knee sprain) are questionable for Tuesday's game in Atlanta. Gagne has missed 25 games and Upshall has missed the last three. GM Paul Holmgren said the club has not decided whether to call up a forward from the Phantoms or continue to rotate players such as Stefan Ruzicka, Denis Tolpeko and Steve Downie. - Philadelphia Inquirer
Defenceman Ryan Lannon and center Ryan Stone were recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Monday. - Press Release

Final scores:
Min 1 Dal 3
NYI 0 Edm 4

At least the Ducks won, which is the most important thing.

Even though Dallas got the two points, a regulation loss by Minnesota is really not bad considering our position. The Islanders however, owe me an In N Out burger.

I've rooted for the Islanders through thick...er, not so thin and thin, and they owe me a lot more than that.
