Zubov has been experiencing ongoing foot and hand problems recently which forced him to sit out Saturday night's contest. Philippe Boucher is targeting the end of February for his return to the Dallas lineup. Jere Lehtinen is expected to return to the Stars lineup by the end of this month. He has resumed skating again after having hernia surgery in late December. Jussi Jokinen is skating again after being sidelined with a sprained knee. min.png The Wild placed defenceman Sean Hill on injured reserve Monday with a sprained ankle. Hill was hurt in Friday's game at Chicago. He has two assists and 11 shots on goal in 21 games for the Wild. He is minus-seven for the season. - Minnesota Wild

nj.png Doctors told John Madden there is no damage to the tendons in his right ankle, where he suffered a skate cut during Saturday night�s game against the Sabres in Buffalo. The injury will continue to be monitored over the next few days in an effort to prevent an infection, but Madden told The Star-Ledger he hopes to be able to play in Wednesday night's home game against the Islanders. GM Lou Lamoriello said left winger Jay Pandolfo (abdominal injury) took Sunday off after skating Saturday, but is 'on the upswing now.' ott.png Patrick Eaves will play Tuesday in Washington after missing 24 games with a separated shoulder. Jason Spezza, who missed the last forty minutes of Sunday's game against the Islanders, will likely play. With Dany Heatley out, coach John Paddock may rotate the left wing spot on the top line. Ray Emery will start in goal on Tuesday. - TSN

sjs.png Sharks defenceman Kyle McLaren was placed on the injured reserve list Sunday and will miss at least four games because of a lingering knee problem. McLaren skipped several practices over the past two weeks because of swelling in his left knee. McLaren is not expected to undergo surgery while on injured reserve. - Mercury News

van.png Taylor Pyatt was hit in the face by the puck in Sunday's 4-3 win over St. Louis. Pyatt left the game late in the first period and did not return. "It took longer than we expected to stitch him up, and his teeth are sort of in the back of his mouth right now," coach Alain Vigneault said. "Until they take an X-ray, there's not much you can tell." Mason Raymond was reassigned to the AHL on Sunday. He had three goals and seven assists in 23 games with Vancouver this season. - TSN

One game....One freaking game...and it's on the east coast. Mr. Gary Bettman, I know you'd like to hype Sidney Crosby, but how about at least making it a doubleheader? You aren't competing against any other sports right now for air time! Now is the chance! I'm not asking for much but there is a Western half to North America as well that would be interested in seeing a game hosted in one of the 8 NHL cities located west of the central time zone. Your vaunted East coast fans might not want to stay up as late, but maybe us out in the west don't want to sit around and do nothing all evening.

Should be a good game, i'll have some popcorn ready.
