Nashville's Steve Sullivan has agreed to a new contract prior to his arbitration hearing.
Sullivan had been requestging $4.6 million from the Predators, who had countered with an offer of $3 million. Sullivan agreed to a one year deal worth $3.6 million.

"Steve's impact after joining the Predators in February was significant as he provided an added dimension to our team and helped guide us to our first-ever playoff berth," said Predators Executive Vice President and General Manager David Poile. "Getting Steve signed has been an off-season priority and we're glad to have done it without going through the arbitration process."

Acquired by Nashville from Chicago at the trade deadline, Sullivan had an immediate impact scoring a hat-trick in first game. He finished the season scoring 30 points in 24 games, helping the Predators reach the playoffs for the first time.
