92% of the people polled on TSN believe he should be suspended. It's the extra jab that will do him in.

So this post had me thinking what do people around here think

Sorry people.... he did something stupid whether he was being scissor-clenched by Kesler's legs or not.

I don't want him to be suspended but I am guessing 3-5 games. Could be 10 games which would be 9 reg season and 1 playoff.

I also think Kesler should be fined and/or suspended for not controlling his legs. He could have cut Prongers throat with his initial carelessness.

I did not see this incident, but I would like to. And since I have not seen it, I cannot make a judgment on whether or not he should be suspended. We need him, so I hope to God he does not get suspended.

The questions I have though, are, 1: "Was it Kesler's own fault?" and 2: "Did he deserve it?"

Still, this whole thing is confusing me to no end uhm.gif Too bad they cannot settle things just by clonking both their heads together and calling it even, then send them about their merry way to resume playing their games.

His skate is clearly caught in Kessler's leg and he's definitely trying to tug it free.

I don't see conclusive evidence that Pronger "stomped" (which connotes an intentional, malicious act) on Kessler. Clearly, though, Pronger stepped on Kessler ... which, IMO, is a result of Pronger trying to get free.

Still, the drumbeat out of Canada won't rest until there is a suspension.

I think it will be 10-15 games. But, I think this whole thing is a joke and it smacks of advocacy journalism by TSN in a clear attempt to get Pronger suspended. It's utter BS that he was informed there was no suspension only to have it re-opened. If the Ducks had played last night, it would have been too late ... so here is yet another victim of the crappy packed schedule at the beginning of the season.

BTW, here is a link to the incident as part of Dreger's "report" on it. TSN (and look for Dreger in the video section since I can't direct link to it)

^If that is the case and if Pronger was, indeed, just trying to get his skate free, then a suspension is a horrible decision on the league's part. It will only display their inability to make proper decisions.
