Come on Preds and Flames, stretch your series out as long as you can. They're really entertaining, and besides I want every other team in the West to be as beat up as possible in the possible maybe perhaps scenario (no predictions/knock on wood) that the Ducks play any of them.

Edit: Uhhh, the Preds game is supposed to be on NBC, but here in DC NBC is showing golf... what's the deal?? Golf??? It's the Verizon Heritage, not even a big deal (as far as I know, and that's not much when it comes to golf). Come on, NBC! Gimme some playoff hockey!

And it may be but, seeing how easy the Central is, shouldn't this have been a cakewalk for Detroit? Nashville is matching them stride for stride so far in the first.

Just noticed this:

QUOTE
Nashville captain Jason Arnott was diagnosed with a concussion and missed his second straight playoff game Sunday.

The Predators entered the game trailing the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 in the series. General manager David Poile said doctors diagnosed Arnott on Saturday. His injury may have been caused by a teammate's celebration of his Game 3-winning goal.

We're watching the Wings/Preds game just now. Thankfully it's the CBC feed and not that VS crap. Pretty good from a neutral point of view biggrin.gif

The Wings have just scored with 6.06 left in the second. dry.gif

Yup, after he scored the GWG he jumped up against the glass and his teammates mobbed him. He either hit his head on the glass or on the boards when they all fell down on the ice. Arnott went to the bench and was having trouble, although he gave an interview after the game, he hasn't returned to the team. Talk about bad luck... bye2.gif

I stand corrected, they scored an EN. I wasn't rooting for Nashville over Detroit or vice-versa. I'm surprised it took Detroit 6 games to put them away given how weak the Central is.

I don't follow either team close enough to know that. I do remember Chicago beating Detroit a couple of times, but before the season even started I picked Detroit as the first division winner given the weak Central.

Hah, the Sharks never get past the first round it seems. Except last year. But Detroit killed them in that series.
