Come ooooonnn Capitals! Riley Cote will be in the lineup for the Flyers, so look for Philly to try to push the Caps around even more this game.

TSN's Ice Chips:

QUOTE
goducks1ux5.gif Forward Rob Niedermayer made the trip to Dallas, but was unable to play in Game 6 because of a concussion. - TSN

bos.png Forward Patrice Bergeron will not play tonight for the Bruins. He still hasn't been cleared to play after suffering a concussion early this season. - TSN

mon.png Defenceman Mark Streit is day-to-day with a hip injury that he suffered in the second period of Game 4. - TSN

phi.png Mike Knuble thought that maybe a good night's rest would make his left hamstring feel better yesterday. One night of sleep, unfortunately, does not cure a tear. "I wanted to see how it responded after a night's sleep and whether it calmed down, but it's still not there," the Flyers winger said. "I don't think it will be as long as Mike Richards' [similar injury]. Hopefully, we'll get through here and see what happens after that." Richards missed about three weeks with a hamstring tear. Knuble will miss the remainder of the Flyers-Capitals series, with a chance that he could return late in the next round if the Flyers advance. - Philadelphia Inquirer

pitt.png Left winger Gary Roberts, who has a sore groin, did not participate in practice for the second day in a row, but the Penguins aren't resigned to starting the second round without him. - Post Gazette

sjs.png Defenseman Kyle McLaren's absence from Game 6 wasn't unexpected as he played only one shift in the second period of Thursday night's 4-3 victory over the Calgary Flames before leaving the ice. But Coach Ron Wilson's decision to scratch veteran forward Jeremy Roenick was more of a surprise. Wilson treated Roenick's absence as something other than a reflection of the fact that the veteran forward had been held off the score sheet in five games and was a minus-2. "We're at a point now where he needed a rest," Wilson said. "We've been playing at a frenetic pace and I need J.R. fresh. . . . He'll be in there - I talked to him about it, ‘Whether it's Game 1 of the next series or Game 7 of this series, I want you fresh so you can contribute.'" - Mercury News

wsh.png Centre Michael Nylander (torn rotator cuff), winger Chris Clark (groin), and defenceman Brian Pothier (concussion) all will not suit up for the Capitals tonight in Game 6. Defenceman Jeff Schultz is doubtful because of back spasms. - Washington Times

3-2 Caps on a breakaway goal by Ovechkin. Pretty goal by #8, reminiscent of goals by the Ducks' #8.

No. 8 scores on a slapshot goal and it's 4-2 Caps. You could hear a pin drop in the Wachovia Center.

Why has no one mentioned that the Pens will face the Caps in the semis if the Caps win tomorrow? That's the NHL's dream series! And it will probably happen!

GOOOOOOOOOO wsh.png !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that the Ducks are out, I'm actually thoroughly excited for the Caps and Ovechkin...

I also do like Carey Price and the Habs. Price looked outstanding today.
Dryden ('66) and Roy ('86) won Stanley Cups AND Conn Smythes as rookies for the Canadiens.... Could Price be the next? hmm.gif

I'd root for either of those two...
The Habs are the only Canadian team I like.
And Alex the Great is well... wow

That was just pathetic!!! I was so excited about seeing this game and all I did was yell at the TV all night annoyed and t'd off.. What they heck was that?!!!! They played with passion, intensitity and grit in game 5 and 6 and in game 7, they played like a bunch of wimps who got their butts kicked.... mad.gif I'm still angry...
On a positive note: this team has accomplished alot this year! They are young, but they will get better. We also didn't have Patrice all year, not that he makes the team but he is one heck of a player. With Cam Neely in the mix upstairs, I am sure he will voice his opinions about what needs to be done.

Its a beautiful day today in Massachusetts to play some golf...have at it boys..... enjoy your vacations and come back strong in October!
