The Kings are in better shape than the ducks their going to get a 2 over all pick why we get a 12. Yeah we made the playoffs but we but we looked real bad. We would have been better off missing the playoffs.

You might want to adjust that bag over your head to let in some air, Neil.

How are the kings in better shape,
Do they have a great D-core, NO
Do they have a proven Conn Smyth winning goalie, NO
Do they have arguably the best GM, NO
Do they have a good mix of solid veterans and youngster, Not really.

They are still in a rebuilding phase, no question in years to come they will be better, but not anytime soon.
Not to mention they have an "average" coach with his best yeras behind him.

BTW Neil, i looked at your previous posts, nice try trolling, but you fail.

Long-term, the Kings are in much better shape. Short-term, the Ducks are in much better shape. And as for being better off having missed the playoffs, yes and no. The season would have been no fun to watch and we wouldn't have had any reason to watch the playoffs. You could say every team that doesn't make the Finals would have been better off missing the playoffs altogether. I'd rather make the playoffs than get the #2 pick.

Good to have you, Neil - if you are the real Neil.

They have jack johnson and they will have Drew Doughty and Hickey defence statring to look good.
goletending looking up
The kings core forwards can score 4 with over 20 goals.
Gm Burke is riding out the year he dosn't really want to be in anaheim.

Some Admin dare to check, if his E-Mail-Address he registered with is probably something Queens-related?
I remember having this "KingsRULEDucksDROOL@hotmail.com"-guy here two years ago. That was fun.

You say we are not better off long term but how do we know until the "long term" happens... I am not one to judge a team in the future because in this league things change every second so until the Kings show that they can win we will continue to be in better shape then them.

True, but they missed out on the Stamkos sweepstakes which must have been a HUGE disappointment for kings fans considering that they were tied dead last with Tampa. On the contrary, I like the 12th pick that we got from Edmonton because the draft rankings are constantly changing everyday, which implies that we can get someone from the top 10 range. Plus, Burke already mentioned that the pick is in play and he's looking forward to trade up and get the player that he wants. Remember when he traded for the 2nd overall pick in Vancouver in order to draft the Sedin's?! dribble.gif dribble.gif dribble.gif

First off, Jack Johnson is WAY over-hyped (just look at his stats) and I would rather have Bobby Ryan on my team over him, so Burke made the better choice in drafting Ryan instead. Secondly, Drew Doughty is probably not going to end up making an impact until a year or two later and you don't even know how he's going to pan out. And lastly, so what if the kings have a good offense if they're the worst at defense and goaltending?

Truth is, kings blow and will continue blowing for centuries from now. What makes you think that they will improve in a year or two??? I mean... what is it now... the 42nd year of mediocrity??? At least the Ducks already have a cup and they've managed to make the playoffs whereas your beloved kings came in dead last.

Missing the playoffs would not have improved the Ducks pick, it would have improved the Oilers. They have Anaheim's 1st (Pronger trade), and we have theirs (Penner poaching).
