TSN's Ice Chips:
The Red Wings took Friday and today off before possibly going back to practice Sunday. - Detroit Free Press
The Canadiens will look to Carey Price to reverse their fortunes against the Flyers. - TSN
Rangers star Sean Avery has been taken out of the intensive care unit, but will remain in hospital for a couple of more days recovering from a lacerated spleen. - TSN
Defenceman Jaroslav Modry rejoined the Flyers after returning from the Czech Republic and bringing his mother. His father passed away during the last series. - Philadelphia Inquirer
The Penguins did not practice Friday. With two days between Game 4, a 3-0 loss to the Rangers on Thursday, and Game 5, at Mellon Arena on Sunday, coach Michel Therrien decided rest was the best response to his club's first loss of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Therrien hasn't penciled Max Talbot into his lineup for Game 5 of the Penguins' second-round playoff series against the New York Rangers. Talbot, whose right foot was broken when he blocked a shot in Game 3, will try to practice Saturday. If he can and there are no major complications, Talbot could participate in Game 5. - Tribune Review/Post-Gazette
Sharks Coach Ron Wilson stayed with the same lineup on Friday that won Game 4. Marcel Goc, Alexei Semenov, Sandis Ozolinsh, Patrick Rissmiller and Jody Shelley were healthy scratches. Injured Sharks defenceman Kyle McLaren missed his seventh game of the postseason. - Mercury News

FINAL SCORE:
Philadelphia at Montreal 6-4 (Philadelphia wins the series 4-1). Price with another shaky game.
Just as I said a while back, Philadelphia is the dark horse of these playoffs

Montreal's exit will also assure that the
will stay south of the border for the 15th straight season. Last Canadian team to win it was Montreal in 1993 against LAK
Of course, later that same year a certain hockey team took residence at the Pond

Richards got credit for his fourth goal of the playoffs when he put up his left hand as Umberger's shot sailed past him and Price. A video review upheld the goal.
"I tried to catch it and luckily my hand-eye is terrible," Richards said. "It went right off my shoulder and then I turned around for the rebound and it went in the net. That was the break we needed, I think."
