i posted this in another thread... but figured it belonged here as well...

for all the mislead soles that think this is a "Stunning Defense vs. Stunning Offense" matchup like we had last year...

Think again... It's "Stunning Defense and Offense vs. 'also ran' Defense and Offense"

You forgot one detail Todrick. One team plays in the East the other in the West. And the West is stronger, by far. Maybe Pittsburgh will win, but I don't think your stats are conclusive basically because they're comparing apples and rocks wink.gif

This is the match-up I was hoping for biggrin.gif These next games are going to be very entertaining, and possibly the kinds that keep you at the edge of your seat. It is hard to say who is going to win because I think both teams have somewhat of an equal chance of getting the Cup. Both teams appear to have the drive for it, so I think at this point it is anyone's game.
Personally, I'm rooting for Penguins. I think they can do it, but a lot of hard work is going to be involved.

I said before the season started that I wanted to see the Pens tank just because of all the hype Sid the Kid has created. Now that they're in the finals against the Red Wings I actually want them to win, I wanna see Sergei Gonchar and Petr Sykora win the Cup. Sykora is actually playing his fourth final since the 99-00 season, he's lucky. Some players go through a whole career without going all the way to the finals and this is his fourth already in his past 8 years.

But I think the Red Wings will take it anyway, they're just too good defensively and offensively to lose this bout.

Sykora keeps getting "shoveled out of the stall", but he seems to keep landing in others that have some good thoroughbreds in them.

Is he a thoroughbred or a road apple?

I hope Penguins. Staal, Malkin, Fleury, Crosby ... and Ruutu. There are my five reasons!
