I don't think so. Watched it live and he laughed too once shock wore off.

What a classic!

I really think someone might have booby-trapped the MC by altering the nut on the bolt that holds the cup portion on top to the base. They knew that the Spokane captain would be the only one to hold the trophy by the cup portion when hoisting it, and you can see on the video that the thing disconnects from the base as soon as he grabs it that way.

I smell sabotage, in a pranky-good way. shifty.gif

Holy smokes, you saw it live? I bet that had to have been one of the worst shockers when it happened, hahaha. I guess when all else fails in an embarrassing situation, the best thing to do is to laugh it off.

Well live broadcast on TV from my sofa 2000 or so miles away.... as opposed to highlights and youtubes...not live live
