Malkin has got to be Hurt... otherwise i can't understand it.

That said, if/when he shows up... this series could get VERY one sided, VERY fast.... like game 1/2 only reversed

Malkin is making horrid decisions with and without the puck. I don't think you can attribute those to injury.

June 3 - TSN's Ice Chips:

QUOTE
pitt.png Penguins head coach Mike Therrien expects that Sergei Gonchar (Back spasms) will be able to play Wednesday night. "We used him on the power play but were worried about stops and starts," he said. On Ryan Malone, Therrien added, "He's going to have some tests, but I would be shocked if he didn't play." He already had a broken nose from Philly series as well. - TSN

I know, it's crazy... half the time he is passing TO Detroit players... perfect passes too.

Yes, he is making terrible puck decisions, but have you seen him skate?

On top of playing stupid, he almost truly has to be injured.
I've never seen look so gassed in a playoff game. He wasn't just lagging in the OT. He's been lagging all series.

The Pens need him to step up.
If Malkin can find the intestinal fortitude to contribute in this series, Pittsburgh has a legitimate shot at this thing.

Two games, Gino. That's all I'm asking

Providence, or just another hopeful Pens fan?

In 1991, the Giants won the Super Bowl
In 1991, there was a Bush in the White house
In 1991, there was a Clinton running for President
In 1991, there was a war in Iraq
In 1991, the Penguins won the Stanley Cup

I heard Pierre McGuire on XM Radio today say that he knew that Malkin did have something wrong with him (that he wouldn't divulge), but it is resolved now.

The only thing I can think of is something like the flu, which could affect his spatial acuity.

You can watch the game online for free at this link: http://www.justin.tv/rangers05fanright now he is doing the AHL finals game live before the NHL starts.

if that doesnt work, search the website justin.tv for sports. there are several broadcasters that play the game. with some searching, you can choose between the CBC broadcast and the NBC one.

Malkin has already made a couple good plays in the 1st period. Maybe he was just sick?

Pittsburgh with only one SOG in the last 16 mins...

Pittsburgh gets a PP, pulls the goalie and scores; 1:27 left... 3-2 now.

Congratulations to Detroit on their Championship! Babcock gets his name on the Cup next to his former team's.

Good playoff run by Pittsburgh, congratulations to them as well.

With 1 second left, Pittsburgh hit the post! Wow!!!

I'll say Osgood or Zetterberg for Conn Smythe...

Great ending! Too bad Pittsburgh didn't score, that would have been amazing.

Edit: It's Zetterberg.
