I like Morrison's past numbers...(last year not included). Hopefully we have good reason to believe he's healed and healthy!

He's a second line centre who has put up at least 50 points a year in every full season he has played in, thats how he will help solve our offensive needs. Even last year before his injury he was on pace for over 50 points. All we need is Selanne to come back and Schneider to be traded and we're set.

Wow! Thanks. I went back to read it again and your first correction made even less sense!
I think Morrison can fill some hole or other, I just hoped for something a little fresher and less road worn.

I don't really think of Morrison as a reclamation project. Every player gets injured at times. Bertuzzi was a little different. He had to overcome something different.

Last week, Morrison turned down a one-year, $1.9 million offer from the Vancouver Canucks, the team he has spent the past eight seasons with. It appeared that the Canucks were hoping Morrison would be their 'fall-back' position if they are unable to sign Mats Sundin. He wasn't prepared to wait.

as long as its under 2.5 million a season under 3 years.
2 years 3.5-4.5 million would be ideal.
looks like this will be the 1st step in a trade

No, I know all that. Keep in mind that Andy Mac had terrible concussion problems with Anaheim when we had him and he overcame them. The word is that Morrison is not going to start the season immediately to give the ACL a chance to heal. He also played 82 games the previous two seasons before the last one.

Wow I didn't realise he's had four surgeries in the last 2 years. Before last year he had played in all 82 regular season games 6 years in a row, so I assumed last years injuries would't be a problem.
