I like this signing... Sorry for Dippy, but Montador is an upgrad if it is true... And Burke must me very confident to trade Schneider...

This was from Eklund on 7/7: Steve Montador may be signing with the Blue Jackets, Devils or Thrashers I am told. I really feel that Montador is a gem in the rough here...Too many are ignoring him IMO...

Not that I'm a big endorser of Eklund, but I do like the fact that he is speaking highly of Montador.

We only have six defensemen on the roster prior to this signing, so we needed a seventh anyway.

I don't think it necessarily means a Schneider deal is done.

But one never knows with the Ducks' crack PR...

At least he can put it in the net, 8 goals 15 assists isn't too shabby and he's a +1. 73 PIM, alot for a D-man.

Give what happened with Leneveu, if he's on the team's official roster, he's on the team. It doesn't mean DiPenta is gone yet though. Only that we have a 7th defenseman.

I don´t know what to think abaout Brian Burke and the Ducks this year, everybody seem to know all vefore they announce it!

LeNeveau took 3 or 4 days, Morrison was announced the next day and now Montador... Hmm
