Oh my gawd, just seen on THF a final score from the women's olympic qualifiers and the score was....wait for it...

Slovakia 82 Bulgaria 0

No, that isn't a typo. 82-0 That has to be a record and a claim to shame for all concerned.

It was pointed out on THF that there's a total 299 players in Bulgaria of which only 37 are women.

Hmm, a quick look at the statsheet tells me that the Bulgarian coach did not play his third line that much. Too bad you can't see the TOI for each player, would be really interesting to see if he really left out the third line completely or if they were really good defensively in this game since the slovakian players practically scored once or twice every minute.

....did the fog horn even turn off?...you would think that after like 30 or 40 goals they would ease up a bit and just play keep away with the puck.

Not only the score was unbelievable, but that the Bulgarians didn't even register a shot on goal. Something tells me they never even got to touch the puck except for the 57 saves made by their goalie. So the Slovakian goalie had zero saves on zero shots in the shutout ... now that's an interesting save percentage for this game. I wonder if they even needed to Zamboni the half of the rink where Bulgaria was supposed to be shooting.

Is Bulgaria that desperate for media attention that they would subject their women hockey players (if they could even be called that) to this circus?
