at least he gets to stay in the area. I guess this solves our cap problem for now.

It's not as if he doesn't know how to get to the Kings locker room or anything. It's just that I will personally miss him. He brought a whole boat load of class to the Ducks. bye2.gif

Damn I'm really gonna miss O'Donnell. This isn't enough cleared space either which sucks.

Ah well at least we're getting close.

From the beginning we knew (I argued anyway) that the Ducks would have to let go of approximately $10M. Schneider was a given but O'Donnell and Marchant were close seconds. We'll see if the third shoe falls.

Well, We all knew this would happen to either him, Frankie, or Marchant....Honestly, I was hoping for one of the others....

Klee shoots right while OD is a left shot, this had a big impact on us trading him over Klee IMO.

So Pronger-Montador or Pronger-Klee?

QUOTE
The conditional pick means that if O’Donnell is traded again before the deadline this season, the Ducks will receive the Kings’ third round pick. If the the Kings keep O’Donnell past the deadline, the Ducks would get nothing in return.

Once Klee was acquired the writing was on the wall that OD would be moved. I'll miss him, he was a great part of this team.

But this just goes to show that Burkie looks out for his players. It'll suck going from a Cup-contender to a bottom-feeder but at least he doesn't have to move and goes to a team he's familiar with (though there's not a single familiar face). Plus he'll be a great mentor for those young d-men. Their PP will stick suck but their PK will get better.

Good luck OD, you will be missed.

I'm going to say Pronger-Montador, and then Klee will be platooned with a rookie, Festerling most likely. Does this work?

Or Pronger-Festerling. The kid still has an outside shot and it just got better with OD being traded. It's down to him and Evans making the team.

That just shows Burke was more concerned about OD as a man rather than as an employee. Lombardi basically did him a favor.

It does. And it keeps Bobby up and the cap down so I can take that as the benefit to the Ducks and a fair one at that. But still, a possibility of nothing in return - that's not even a bag of pucks, that's just a used puck...maybe...if you're lucky.

Will miss Sean terribly, a real class guy and a great teammate. Kudos to Burke for keeping him local, we need to let him know how much he meant to us at the upcoming game(s).
