LINK to NHL.com story about the Canadiens holding top spots on ASG ballot.

I just thought that this perfectly sums up what a joke the NHL is. It's so obvious why no one takes this sport seriously. Sometimes it's hard to tell because of the bias that us hockey fans have. When I saw this story it made me mad.

Where is the NHL's integrity? Where is the pride? Why promote the All-Star Game if it's going to be such a letdown year after year and players are just going to decline the invite? And why on earth do you print up an article that condones the cheating Montreal fans?

I don't know how far this topic will really go because it's pretty obvious to everyone that we need a new commish, I just can't stand crap like this anymore. It's embarrassing to be a hockey fan when stuff like this is promoted. Argh.

ADD: Read the comment on the story linked to titled "Are you kidding me?". That person is pretty much more eloquent and better with words than I am.

The best part of the all-star break is the rookie game and letting your team get some rest. Other than that it's a popularity contest with the fan voting.
