The players seem to be responding well to Joel Quenneville. The team is 9-2-4 since Quenneville took over as coach on October 16th. "It seems like we have more offense now," said goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin, who will start his fourth game in a row tonight. "We're playing with a little more confidence. When you win, it seems like all the guys are happy. It's fun right now." - Chicago Sun Times
David Clarkson left the practice early on Tuesday. Coach Brent Sutter said he expects Clarkson to play Wednesday night. - Star Ledger
Braydon Coburn gives the credit for the team's penalty-kill success to Marty Biron. "Your best penalty killer is your goalie," Coburn said Tuesday. "He's done a good job of stopping runs and making sure if they do have the puck, we've got a good chance of getting it out of the zone right away. Ask any good penalty-killer - the goalie is your best asset back there." - Philadelphia Inquirer
Randy Jones (hip surgery) and Ryan Parent (shoulder surgery) practiced with the Flyers on Tuesday. They pair are getting closer to returning and Jones hopes to play before Christmas, while the club hopes Parent will be back play December 26 against the Blackhawks. - Philadelphia Daily News
Claude Lemieux signed with the Worcester Sharks. - Mercury News
The team was one forward short as Jason Blake did not skate.
Ron Wilson attended the Marlies matinee instead of practice on Wednesday. Assistant Tim Hunter ran the practice.
The club called up Andre Deveaux from the Marlies on Wednesday. - TSN
The Canucks have recalled centre Alexandre Bolduc from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. - Press Release
