That's a handful of games, 24 of the 30 teams to be exact.
If they had three more games, it would have been another day where all 30 teams are playing.
It might have been a good day for the NHL to do one of those, since the NHL was founded on this day.

"I feel I need to get back to work," said Rozsival, who has put himself through extra skating of late. "Even if the hip feels better, it's still not strong enough. ott.png Alex Auld will get the start in net Thursday when the Senators host the Maple Leafs. Forward Mike Fisher will make his return to the Sens lineup after missing the past two games with a knee injury. Forward Ryan Shannon has not yet been cleared to play after suffering an apparent concussion. He is set to meet with team doctors later in the day. Forward Dean McAmmond missed the morning practice du to the flu. He is questionable for Thursday. - TSN

Braydon Coburn gives the credit for the team's penalty-kill success to Marty Biron. "Your best penalty killer is your goalie," Coburn said Tuesday. "He's done a good job of stopping runs and making sure if they do have the puck, we've got a good chance of getting it out of the zone right away. Randy Jones (hip surgery) and Ryan Parent (shoulder surgery) practiced with the Flyers on Tuesday. They pair are getting closer to returning and Jones hopes to play before Christmas, while the club hopes Parent will be back play December 26 against the Blackhawks. - Philadelphia Daily News

The team was one forward short as Jason Blake did not skate.
Ron Wilson attended the Marlies matinee instead of practice on Wednesday. Assistant Tim Hunter ran the practice.
The club called up Andre Deveaux from the Marlies on Wednesday. - TSN

van.png Canucks head coach Alain Vignault gave the team an optional skate on Tuesday as a break from the Canucks travel schedule over the past few weeks. Defenceman Kevin Bieksa took the ice and will likely practice with the team on Wednesday. Forward Steve Bernier is listed as day-to-day with bruised shoulder. Forward Ryan Johnson will have his hand looked at by team doctors on Tuesday after blocking a shot during Monday's win over the Red Wings. - TSN
