Brad May left practice after reinjuring his left knee Tuesday. Coach Randy Carlyle said it doesn't seem that bad. - LA Times

Centre Brian Sutherby (groin) skated for 20 minutes before practice. Carlyle said he is progressing - Orange County Register

Defenceman Aaron Ward, who has missed three games with a leg injury, skated yesterday but said he is not ready to play. Marco Sturm, who is suffering from concussion-like symptoms, practiced again and coach Claude Julien said he "felt good as well." - Boston Globe

After he collided with a linesman and the game on Monday, Stephane Yelle did not skate but has accompanied the team to Washington. Vladimir Sobotka was brought up for the expected absence of Yelle tonight. - Boston Herald

The Blackhawks recalled Pascal Pelletier from Rockford of the AHL to replace the suspended rookie scoring leader Kris Versteeg. Forward Adam Burish, who has missed six games with a broken toe, has been placed on the injured list. Cristobal Huet is slated to start his sixth straight game while Nikolai Khabibulin is sidelined with a lower-body injury. - Chicago Tribune

Tanner Glass and Michal Repik were called up from the Panthers' American Hockey League affiliate in Rochester, New York - Miami Herald

Jordin Tootoo had played in every game this season and 49 straight dating back to last season but was scratched with a lower body injury which, according to coach Barry Trotz, he sustained in Monday's loss at St. Louis. GM Paul Holmgren said the injured Matt Carle was making strides with his back issues and, although the injury is similar to the one that sidelined Riley Cote for more than a month, Carle wasn't expected to go on the long-term injury list. - Delaware County Times
