TSN's Ice Chips

Netminder Jonas Hiller will get the start in goal tonight when the Ducks host the New York Rangers. Hiller's last start was on October 15, in a losing effort to the Edmoton Oilers. In 13 games played this season, he's 6-4-1 with a 2.09 goals against average and .932 save percentage. - TSN { oh really? }

Zach Bogosian returned to practice Monday, as did Erik Christensen. There are no timetables for their return to game-action, but Christensen is closer than Bogosian. Kari Lehtonen did not travel with the team. - Atlanta Journal Constitution

Defenceman Craig Rivet will be out at least two weeks with a shoulder injury. - Buffalo News

Veteran defenceman Frank Kaberle, who has missed four games with a lower-body injury, practised with the team Monday and could soon return. - News Observer

Defenceman James Wisniewski is expected to make his Hawks season debut Tuesday night in Edmonton. He has been out all year after having knee surgury. Wisniewski scored a hat trick Saturday while on a conditioning stint with Rockford (AHL). Nikolai Khabibulin will start in goal. - Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald Times

Darcy Tucker, Ben Guite and Marek Svatos will not play tonight against Philadelphia, but all three made the trip and could be back in action sometime soon. Peter Budaj will start in goal against the Flyers. - Denver Post

With goalie Fredrik Norrena having cleared waivers, Steve Mason will start Wednesday against San Jose, and Pascal LeClaire will start Thursday against Dallas. - TSN, Columbus Dispatch

Brett Lebda was back in the Detroit lineup Monday after sitting out as a healthy scratch Saturday. Chris Chelios was scratched. - Detroit News

The Panthers are expecting to have injured forwards Nathan Horton, David Booth, Rostislav Olesz and Richard Zednik back on Thursday against Carolina. - Sun-Sentinel

Forward Own Nolan, who has missed three straight games, did not practice Monday. There has been no update on his leg injury. - Star Tribune

Brian Rolston has been moved back to left wing, his natural position. He skated Monday with Bobby Holik and David Clarkson. Scott Clemmensen is expected to start in goal against Toronto. - Star-Ledger

Mike Comrie (hip) and Kyle Okposo (wrist) will not play tonight against the Capitals. - New York Post

Dean McAmmond (pneumonia) skated today but won't play. No return date has been set. Anton Volchenkov (lower body) skated prior to practice, and he won't play tonight against Atlanta, either. Coach Craig Hartsburg is hoping Volchenkov will be able to play by the weekend. - TSN

Defenceman Randy Jones has been given medical clearance to play and could be in the lineup when the Flyers host Colorado tonight. - Philadelphia Inquirer

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to play Thursday in Atlanta. - Tribune Review
