Ducks goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere is expected to start tonight against Calgary. - LA Times

Forward Jochen Hecht left Monday's game midway through the 2nd period. He appeared to be struck in the head with a shot, and skated right off the ice. - TSN

Andrew Raycroft will get the start tonight against Phoenix. It will be his third start in five games. Mark Svatos (back) practiced Monday and is close to returning to the lineup. - Rocky Mountain News

The Blue Jackets have activated defenceman Rostislav Klesla off injured reserve. He missed five weeks with a high ankle sprain. - Press Release

If goaltender Chris Osgood (groin) is not ready today, he could be put on the long-term injured list and sit out 10 games. - Detroit News

The Panthers experimented with putting Nathan Horton at centre, but that didn't work too well, so now Michael Frolik is getting a look in the middle. On Sunday, he skated between Cory Stillman and Richard Zednik and will likely do so again tonight. - Sun Sentinel

Forward Eric Belanger (illness) is expected to be back in the lineup tonight against Carolina. - Star Tribune

Goaltender Pekka Rinne is expected to start agianst Florida tonight. Rinne had a shutout in his last start, Saturday against the Islanders. - Tennessean

Goaltender Rick DiPietro (knee) took part in his first full practice since October on Monday. The Islanders are still not putting a timetable on his return to game action, but Di{ietro does not think it will be much longer. - New York Post

Forward Nikolai Zherdev and defenceman Dmitri Kalinin both missed Monday's practice due to illness, but are expected to be in the lineup tonight against the Capitals. - Rockland Journal News

Captian Daniel Alfredsson (upper body) will play tonight against Philadelphia. Dany Heatley (flu) will also play. Both missed practice Monday but have been declared ready to go. Alex Auld will start in goal. - TSN

Scottie Upshall will be sidelined up to two weeks after suffering a slightly sprained right knee on Sunday. Glen Metropolit (back) is expected back in the lineup tonight. If he can't go, however, the Flyers may move defenceman Lasse Kukkonen up front. Luca Sbisa, a healthy scratch on Sunday, will be back in the lineup. - Philadelphia Inquirer

Defenceman Ryan Whitney (foot) will play his first game of the season tonight. Defenceman Kris Letang appeared to get hurt last night blocking a shot, but he was not on the injured list Tuesday. - Tribune Review/TSN

Defencemen Mike Green (shoulder) and Tom Poti (groin) will not play tonight against the Rangers. Forward Alexander Semin (back) will miss his second straight game, too. - Washington Post
