Medicine Hat, AB – Medicine Hat Tigers learned just before last Saturday’s game against the Swift Current Broncos they would be without the services of defenseman Matt McCue.

Hours earlier, McCue, 20, had signed a professional contract with the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks whom requested McCue not play in Saturday’s game.

The 6’ 5”, 218 lbs. native of Cochrane, AB joined the Tigers earlier in the season from the Brandon Wheat Kings and had preformed admirably, catching the attention of the Ducks.

As of press time, it is not known when McCue will make his Iowa Chops debut.
