Well I was looking to maybe go to Bakersfield for a game this weekend but I haven't the funds for the trip, but It just so happens that the Condors are playing the Reign in a home at home over the weekend. Sunday's contest in Ontario is at 5:00 and tickets seem fairly inexpensive. Anyone else looking to go?
Anyone been up to a game in Ontario with any info they could share? I'd like to go watch the Condors lay the smack down on the guys they'll be beating up later on in the NHL ;-)

You can get tickets for half off through the following site...
http://www.goldstar.com/events/ontario-ca/...ign-hockey.html
You have to sign up to be a member but it's free. I thought about going but it's the same day as the all star game so I think I may just sit at home and enjoy that game instead.

That is a dang good point about the ASG, perhaps I should pick out another game. Especially with three of our boys starting.

Plus, with the way we have been playing lately, you might be a little disappointed.

Not sure if I'll be at that game or not....(Although we have season tickets).
Some words to describe the "Reign Experience":
Cold! Dang arena is frosty. Suggest you consider some extra thermal protection.
Loud! Not the fans....the sound system. That's my biggest reason for getting fed up with the place.
Empty. Buy a cheap seat....because you have your choice of just about any seat you want when the game starts....(although they might check tickets in the lower bowl for the first period or so). A few times, we've just watched from the tables set up on the main concourse at one end of the ice.
Cheap. No parking fee, and cheap tickets.
Doubt we'll be re-newing our tickets for next year. The drive into the IE, the fact that we also have Ducks tickets, and other minor annoyances pretty much makes the Reign tickets unnecessary in my life.
The hockey itself is quite good, and fun to watch. They obviously aren't as good as NHL players, but they are still a skilled bunch, and evenly matched against each other.
Rule differences that I've noticed:
- No touch icing is in effect.
- The teams do long changes in the 1st and 3rd periods, instead of only during the 2nd as in the NHL. But I can't for the life of me figure out why this would be a choice a league would make?!

We went to the game last night.....
And although I'm a Reign season ticket holder, and in theory a supporter of the team....
I found it IMPOSSIBLE to chear for anyone wearing a Kings style jersey when playing against a team wearing a Ducks style jersey.
And both teams did wear their parent teams colors and styles. Picture a Ducks home jersey, with the gold and orange striping, complete with the black pants and appropriate leggings, with just the the Condors logo on the front, and you have a picture of the dress code.
Condors lost 4-3 after coming back from a 3-0 deficit in the third period. Petty good game. Much higher attendance than most recent games, and a lot of Ducks fans apparent in the stands. Must have been a combination of the all-star break, hockey withdrawal, and having the Ducks affiliate in town.
We didn't hang around for the jersey auction after the game when it became apparent that they were ONLY auctioning the Reign jerseys. Who wants a Kings jersey in any form!?
