Brad May's profile at TSN - LINK

He's a guy that Burke had in Vancouver so he knows exactly what he's getting. We'll have to trust him on this one.

There better be more to this, all this talk if all we get is brad injured shoulder may, then burke sure shit the bed on this one. Excuse my language but your a contender for the cup who needs a solid forward to play with the kids and all you can manage to get is brad may???
You also throw away a solid defenceman with a promising future for a pick that you have yet to use.

Say it aint so burkey.

Knock on wood there better be somthing bigger coming

Burke is done.....He's talking, but he won't give up the players who other teams want.

Unless a change of heart happens...this is trade deadline is over for Anaheim

Last night during the game Burke said he might not make any big trades as he likes to get his team together as soon as possible and not wait around for the trade deadline

our fourth line played a whopping 2:18 last night. we need more reliable depth guys for long OT playoff games.

I just dont see what roll brad may fills, not like our whole team isnt enforcers already. Either way you look at it if we dont make a deal for a good second or first line forward then as far as im concerned we wasted shane obrien for nothing.

i still think the OB trade was a great deal
even though we didnt trade the 1st round pick we still have it
its not like it just disapeared cause we didnt trade it before the deadline lol

As I said in the Ducks Rumors thread - Brad May is better than George Parros, Ryan Shannon and Tim Brent - at least for this year. And, if Todd Marchant is out for a while the Ducks could use another guy to help kill penalties.

yeah i agree with many of you, all this anticipation and all we get is Brad May who may be good in a few games but won't help us a whole lot in the playoffs!

I hope Burke has something else under his sleeve.

Has anyone thought that maybe May isn't here for offense? What part of 'Half-assed effort' don't you get? He's a great leader and maybe that's what Burkie was going for. You never know. He always has a reason, and I think May is here to provide a bit more leadership, playoff experience and as SC touched on, PK time.

I hope it will be so. Personally I don`t see anything. He has played only 10 games this season. His best season was ten years ago. I dont know how good he is in penalty killing. But he is LW ant gritty one. ist that what we wanted?

Is he top 6 forward? hmm.gif Almost I would say. Chemistry. It is only wild guess at the moment... Am I extatic? No. Am I satisfied? I guess... I trust Mr. Burke worthy.gif and I believe he was right when he did not give up our kids! yes.gif

Brad May is not a top six forward by any stretch of the imagination. He's a grinder for the third or fourth line, nothing more.

As someone mentioned before Burke had May in Vancouver and knows a lot more about him than we do. I think he went out and got him for something that stats can't explain. He is a leader and I am sure he isn't afraid to share his thoughts with his teammates or especially the opposition. He will add some grit that we lost in the O'B trade and get some more fire under the team. I like this trade because we have two proven goalies and a variety of goalie prospects in the AHL and ECHL so Wall won't be too missed.
