A decision on defenceman Francois Beauchemin's potential return to the lineup tonight will be made after the morning skate. Beauchemin has been out since suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on Nov. 14. Defenceman Bret Hedican will not play this weekend, and his status is in doubt after he suffered a setback following a lengthy practice session Tuesday. - Orange County Register
Dion Phaneuf sat out yesterday's practice but head coach Mike Keenan said the blueliner will play tonight. The Flames practiced the power play for a few minutes at the end of practice, which was much needed since they have gone 0 for their last 37 including multiple lengthy 5-on-3 opportunities. - TSN
Winger Patrick Sharp, who suffered a left leg injury last week and has missed the last three games, is unlikely to return against the Red Wings this weekend. - Chicago Tribune
Winger Kristian Huselius, who was staggered after banging his chin on the ice last weekend in Nashville, told the coaching staff that he wants to skate a few more days before he plays in a game. He is questionable for Saturday's game. Winger Fredrik Modin skated for 45 minutes in Columbus yesterday, the first time he's taken the ice since re-injuring a sprained left knee March 5. - Columbus Post-Dispatch
Winger Marian Hossa left last night's game after 'he hurt his groin a little bit,' head coach Mike Babcock said. He will be reevaluated today, but groin injuries on average take at least 7-10 days. - Detroit Free Press
David Legwand was hoping to wear a protective faceguard and play in the team’s final two games but doctors have determined that his fractured cheekbone is still too fragile to absorb any hits, even if protected by a facemask. - Tennessean
Veteran winger Miroslav Satan cleared re-entry waivers today and is back on the Penguins' roster. - TSN
Centre Henrik Sedin underwent treatment this morning and did not skate. He took a punch/stick to the neck in last night's game and, although he didn't miss a shift, the assumption is that is why he's taking treatment. He will play tomorrow against Colorado. No lineup changes are expected. The last time the team travelled the night before and played in an early afternoon game, goaltender Roberto Luongo got hurt but he will start tomorrow. - TSN
The Canucks signed free agent defenceman Evan Oberg from the University of Minnesota-Duluth today. - Media Release

May Jacques Lemaire out-coach Barry Trotz, and the 3-pt Albatross take the night off tonight.
STL vs CBJ is hard to call without knowing how the Ducks will do in tonight's game, but let's go for the gusto and clinch against DAL and have STL follow in our footsteps in regulation.

FYI if you have Cox Cable, they have Center Ice free preview right now. Watching Preds/Wild and Blues/BJ for obvious reasons.

Clutterbuck puts in what can only be described as a "SLAM DUNK" into the empty net to put Minnesota up for good 7-4 with a minute left.
