TSN's Ice Chips

cal.png Dion Phaneuf and Curtis Glencross both missed Friday's game and are day-to-day. The team is hoping they will both be available for Saturday's game against the Oilers. Rene Bourque was skating early with Andre Roy and Rhett Warrener. It appears he'll be ready for the playoffs. - TSN

chi.png Cristobal Huet will get the start in goal for Chicago on Saturday. - Chicago Sun-Times

Winger Patrick Sharp, who suffered a left leg injury last week and has missed the last three games, is unlikely to return against the Red Wings this weekend. - Chicago Tribune

col.png Peter Budaj is expected to start in goal Saturday. - Denver Post

clm.png Wade Dubielewicz could get the start on Saturday. - Columbus Post-Dispatch

Winger Kristian Huselius, who was staggered after banging his chin on the ice last weekend in Nashville, told the coaching staff that he wants to skate a few more days before he plays in a game. He is questionable for Saturday's game. Winger Fredrik Modin skated for 45 minutes in Columbus Thursday, the first time he's taken the ice since re-injuring a sprained left knee March 5. - Columbus Post-Dispatch

det.png Winger Marian Hossa (groin) will not play during the home-and-home against the Blackhawks on Saturday and Sunday. General manager Ken Holland said Hossa would like to play Sunday, but the team has decided to let him rest before the playoffs. - Detroit News

Ty Conklin is expected to get the start in goal on Saturday against Chicago. - Detroit News

edm.png The Oilers did not hold a morning skate on Saturday before their game against the Flames. - TSN

mon.png Saku Koivu will centre the fourth line as the team is likely to rest the captain with fewer minutes at even strength. - RDS/TSN

nsh.png David Legwand was hoping to wear a protective faceguard and play in the team’s final two games but doctors have determined that his fractured cheekbone is still too fragile to absorb any hits, even if protected by a facemask. - Tennessean

ott.png Daniel Alfredsson will miss tonight's game with a back injury that has been nagging him for a while. - TSN

pitt.png Veteran winger Miroslav Satan cleared re-entry waivers Friday and is back on the Penguins' roster. - TSN

van.png Centre Henrik Sedin underwent treatment on Friday and did not skate. He took a punch/stick to the neck in Thursday's game and, although he didn't miss a shift, the assumption is that is why he's taking treatment. He will play Saturday against Colorado. No lineup changes are expected. The last time the team travelled the night before and played in an early afternoon game, goaltender Roberto Luongo got hurt but he will start Saturday. - TSN

The Canucks signed free agent defenceman Evan Oberg from the University of Minnesota-Duluth Friday. - Media Release
