QUOTE
TSN's Ice Chips
Bruins coach Claude Julien called defenceman Matt Hunwick at the hospital to check on how he was recovering from his splenectomy. "He's feeling fine," Julien said. - Boston Globe
Anders Eriksson says he's in but nobody says they're out. Corey Sarich (foot) would be the logical choice however Jim Vandermeer is also a candidate and head coach Mike Keenan has gone with seven defencemen before. - TSN
Forward Matt Cullen, who didn’t skate in the morning, centered the second line with forwards Ray Whitney and Chad LaRose. Defenceman Frank Kaberle was back in the lineup for the second straight game. Defencemen Dennis Seidenberg and Tim Conboy, along with forward Dwight Helminen, were scratches. - News Observer
Patrick Kane (flu) will not play in Monday night's game.. He's considered day-to-day. - TSN
Projected Lines vs. Flames
Forwards:
Sharp - Toews - Kane
Ladd - Bolland - Havlat
Versteeg- Pahlsson - Byfuglien
Eager - Burrish - Brouwer
Defence:
Keith - Seabrook
Campbell - Hjarmarsson
Barker - Walker
Forward Alex Tanguay and defenceman Mathieu Schneider are both out of tonight's action with upper body injuries. - TSN
Robert Lang and Andrei Markov skated an hour before the team took its morning skate, but as of yesterday they are not expected to play tonight. - TSN
Captain Jamie Langenbrunner did not make the trip to Carolina with the Devils and is not expected to play in Game 4. He was injured (lower body) in the second period of Game 2. - TSN
Forward Dan Carcillo returned after serving a one-game suspension for whacking Pens forward Max Talbot in the head late in Game 1. The Flyers scratched defenceman Luca Sbisa. - Delaware County-Times
Keith Tkachuk and Barrett Jackman (maintenance) didn't practice today but will play tomorrow. Paul Kariya practiced for 90 minutes (30 minutes extra after the regulars and says his legs feel good and his hands feel rough. He says he has not been cleared yet to play in a game yet but will have a conversation with the team doctor between now and tomorrow. Head coach Andy Murray says he will wait for Kariya to tell him when he's ready. Kariya says he has not made that decision yet. - TSN
The Canucks held an optional skate today but the Sedins, Sundin, Demitra, Kesler, Mitchell and Salo were among the regulars who did not participate. Roberto Luongo was a surprise no-show. Sundin is day-to-day and will make a decision about Tuesday's game after the morning skate, which he has not committed to participating in. - TSN
Coach Bruce Boudreau said Chris Clark, who is suffering from a wrist injury, remains seven to 10 days away from returning. One lineup change could be the addition of forward Donald Brashear, a healthy scratch for the first two games of the series. He hasn’t played since March 10, when he sprained his knee. Defenceman Jeff Schultz remains day-to-day, so Brian Pothier is likely to stay in the lineup. - Washington Times
