Winger Bobby Ryan left Saturday night's game with 12:59 left in the third period. He returned to the bench with 2:21 left and the Ducks didn't comment on status of their rookie after the game. - Detroit Free Press

Defenseman Matt Hunwick, who had his spleen removed last week will begin light off-ice workouts, and according to general manager Peter Chiarelli could return if the Bruins can advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. - Boston Globe

Coach Paul Maurice remains hopeful that forward Sergei Samsonov, who sat out Game 5 against the Devils with a lower body injury, can return for Game 6 on Sunday. - News Observer

Goalie Chris Osgood took part in full practice on Saturday, and says that he'll be fully healthy when the Red Wings get back on the ice against either the Ducks or Canucks. The Wings, who had Friday off, will also not have practice on Sunday. Dan Cleary, who won't skate on non-game days because of a lower-body injury also practiced on Saturday. - Detroit News

Captain Jamie Langenbrunner practiced on Saturday and he expects to return to the lineup tonight for Game 6 when the Devils look to close out the Hurricanes. He suffered a lower body injury in Game 2 and missed the last three games. - Star-Ledger

Coach John Tortorella will not be behind the bench this afternoon when the Rangers look to close out their series against the Washington Capitals because of a one-game suspension. Sean Avery, who was scratched for Game 5 will return today. - TSN

Kris Letang, who was scratched in Game 5, returned to the lineup in Game 6, sending Philippe Boucher back to the press box. Miroslav Satan played in his second straight game replacing the injured Peter Sykora. - Tribune Review s

Forward Taylor Pyatt skated on his own and then joined the Canucks’ practice for 20 minutes. He remains on bereavement leave following the death of his fiancé. Defenceman Willie Mitchell was given an extra day off while Sami Salo did not practice but will likely be back on the ice Monday. - TSN
