goducks1ux5.gif Head coach Randy Carlyle changed up his lines on Sunday by using Petteri Nokelainen with wingers Bobby Ryan and Corey Perry and Erik Christensen alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Teemu Selanne, it is expected he will use those lines again on Tuesday in Game 6. - L.A. Times

Ryan Carter did not skate on Monday, but is expected to play in Game 6. - Orange County Register

Defenceman James Wisniewski played 22 minutes, nine seconds and was minus-2 in Game 5 Sunday night after missing Thursday's fourth game of the series because of a lung contusion suffered two nights earlier. - Orange County Register

The team is hoping some time in the press box will help get Blake Wheeler on track. - Boston Globe

car.png Ryan Bayda will be back in the lineup for the Hurricanes tonight after missing the last two games with the flu. - TSN

det.png Defenceman Jonathan Ericsson didn't practice because of a bruised right foot suffered when he took a shot there in the first period of Game 5, but he said he expects to play tonight... Brian Rafalski (undisclosed injury) practiced for the first time in 12 days (second straight day of skating) and said he'd be a game-time decision. ''If the coaches and myself feel I can contribute in any way, then there's a good chance I'll play, but we'll see what happens,' Rafalski said... Kris Draper (undisclosed injury) remains out. - Detroit Free Press

pitt.png Sergei Gonchar was on the ice Tuesday morning doing very light push offs. Following the skate, he said it feels better than what he first thought but had no idea how it would feel tomorrow. He was injured Friday early in Game 4 by a knee-on-knee collision with Capitals' Alex Ovechkin. Coach Dan Bylsma says they will re-evaluate Gonchar after Wednesday's morning skate. Those close to him still insist he's "weeks" away, but allow for the very slim possibility he tries to almost immobilize the knee with a heavy brace and strapping. - TSN

Coach Bylsma opted to dress seven defencemen and 11 forwards on Monday, doing so for a second consecutive game. D Alex Goligoski, a rookie, and veteran Philippe Boucher also played Saturday in Game 5 at Washington. - Tribune Review

wsh.png David Steckel will likely remain on the reunited energy line for Game 7 on Wednesday. - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Well, don't forget to redirect some of that energy to thanking the hockey gods for your whipping boy Montador's timely lamp lighting. wink.gif
