Sorry I couldnt find the thread talking about this but has anyone heard anything about us still introducing a 3rd jersey this year.

I am crossing my fingers for something orange. It would be great to wear them in the playoffs and have everyone wear orange.

I don't know if Anaheim is making a 3rd jersey this season. I haven't heard anything about it.

It might take another 4-5 years before the team may decide on a 3rd jersey option.

Usually teams make a third jersey after the first two years of an updated design. I would expect new jerseys this offseason. Not a fan of an all orange jersey!

Too bad we didn't have a silver third jersey for this past season ;-)

Honestly though I hope we avoid the third jersey again unles it's incredibly slick, like the black one we had from 2003-2006. As Ducks fans we have been exposed to some really bad third jerseys, and there are people that didn't like the black third jersey. For us, we have no option but to put out a completely rad third jersey if we want it to be taken seriously.

I wouldn't mind a third jersey at all. In fact, I would like to see the Ducks introduce one. Perhaps one that is dark green (like the head of a mallard) with a gold colored webbed 'D' as the crest and the throwback logo on the shoulders. You could go with black shoulders with a white stripe underneath that and a black stripe at the bottom. Just throwing it out there and thinking off the top of my head.

I hope they do announce one either this summer or next - I think the time is right.

I did a quick PS job and came up with a very simplistic, yet very cool design IMO.

I like everything except the white lettering that says "Anaheim Ducks hockey" take that out and I think it's excellent. With the text however, it looks similar to one of Minnesota's designs. I'd just use the "D"

GR#7, that design isn't too bad, although the only changes I'd make would be to take the 'hockey club' part out of the logo, and instead have 'Anaheim' at the top, and 'Ducks' at the bottom.

Anyway, here's one I finished the other day.



I'm not too keen on the idea of us having an orange jersey, so instead I put more emphasis on it as a secondary colour. I used just the 'D' as the primary, and an 'AD' made up from letters from a wordmark. The striping is loosely based on the previous third jersey we had (though they are thinner because of template restrictions) and I added a shoulder yoke.

My favorite is worn by the Jr. Ducks at Anaheim Hockey Club.

I can't find a picture online, but next time I'm at the rink, I'll try to take one.

I'd actually like that. What if we put the old Ducks logo on the arms or shoulders?

When Disney sold the Mighty Ducks, pretty much everything except the Disney name went in the deal. Thus, Disney Ice became Anaheim Ice, but the logos, colors, etc. were bundled up with the team.

It'll take some convincing to make me think an all orange jersey will not turn the players into pumpkins on ice. Both the Islanders and Flyers tried it with their 3rd jerseys ...



And our practice jerseys already come in CalTrans orange ...




Including more orange and gold in a black 3rd jersey (like wildwing64's design) is an idea I would probably prefer.

I'm with you on that, DTP. Orange as a primary color is not appealing to me. I wouldn't mind it as a secondary but I'd need to see a really impressive design for me not to wince everytime they wore them. Pronger would look like a carrot.

For some reason, the fist year of the new name, I tried to get the team store to stitch the season before's 3rd jersey, the black one, they said they can't because it was a mighty duck jersey and something about the previous owners........

Those were always my fav jerseys for the Ducks. I'd absolute love to see them make a comeback in our new team colours and logos

just playing aroudn with the colors in photoshop, it's possible, on the road white jersey though if you replace the green with the orange it makes it a little bright, but a black in place of the teal with orange and gold striping along it could be neat, on the home jersey you could easily swap the eggplant for black and the teal for orange, then use the Ducks "D" in place of the wildwing mask.

Also, i'm not sure if the new cut of the Edge Jerseys would allow for that kind of design, hmmmm
