"I've been recognized here more in the past week than during my whole career in Anaheim," Moen said during training camp's first few days. "It's cool when you've got a young kid asking for your autograph." Even before he's scored his first goal in a CH-crested sweater, with a puck that won't get away. It will be mounted for him by the Canadiens, as the team's tradition dictates.

I bet it was even cooler when he got to lift the Stanley Cup over his head.

To be fair to Mo he does talk about how cool it was to win the cup and doesn't really bag on Anaheim at all. Although this part of the article I don't know what to think about.

The puck should be on a plaque, its glorious history relived every time Travis Moen looks at his wall.

It was Anaheim's third goal against Ottawa on June 6, 2007, scored at 14:55 of the second period, the deciding goal in the Ducks' 6-2, Stanley Cup-winning Game 5 victory over the Senators.

"I never did get it," Moen says today of the missing puck. "All our sticks and stuff on the ice when we won went missing, too.

WAT?!?!

From what I recall, some of the players kids were walking around on the ice and giving the gear away to fans

Yeah it was the Selanne and Niedermayer kids... they were playing hockey with it for a bit, then handing it out...

Also, Moen's 'Game winning' puck...

If you didn't actually score the goal... why on earth do you want the puck...

It's like hanging a diploma from Harvard on your wall when you never went there.

No.

The official scoresheet on a plaque is the only thing that should be on his wall, because he scored on paper, not with a puck.

the opening lines an last line of that story are clearly a slam on Anaheim...

We lack tradition and respect, is the impression given.
