Ovechkin ejected against Canes
Of course any thought of suspension should quickly be removed from anyone's mind
This is Ovechkin we're talking about here
QUOTE
Alex Ovechkin has been given a five minute major and a game misconduct for a knee-on-knee hit on the Canes’ Tim Gleason. This is the second major penalty for Ovechkin in less than a week. On Wednesday, he was given a five minute major and game misconduct for boarding Patrick Kaleta of the Sabres.
Of course any thought of suspension should quickly be removed from anyone's mind

I think Ballard should be suspended. Accident or not you've got to have better control of your stick. If he would have hit someone other than a goalie, he could have killed the guy.
If he would have hit (accident or not) someone from the other team... no doubt there would be a suspension.

Agreed. Vokoun is lucky that the stick only grazed his ear. A tomahawk chop like that would seriously, very seriously hurt someone. Oh man I don't even want to think about that one

NHL vice-president and director of hockey operations Colin Campbell [said] that Florida Panthers defenseman Keith Ballard will not be suspended for hitting his own goalie, Tomas Vokoun, with a two-handed baseball swing...
“It will be on every sports highlight show for the next week,” Campbell said. “If that’s not enough of a punishment…”

After another ejection, NHL can't turtle on Ovechkin decision
QUOTE
Colin Campbell, you're on call.
While the Capitals wait to hear how long they might be without their top player, it's time for Colin Campbell's "Wheel of Justice" to finally land on something other than "Superstar: Move Along" when he spins it to determine the punishment for Ovechkin. Ovechkin has been towing the line on questionable hits for a while now and has avoided any sort of supplemental discipline to this point. Now, with a second ejection in less than a week, the question shouldn't be "Will he or won't he?" but "How many games?".

What moron. Vokoun should be able to get a free shot on Ballard with the goalie stick...
But in all seriousness, hope Vokoun is ok

If no suspension, maybe he hurt himself on that one enough to keep him out for a while... karma takes place of a suspension maybe?
