Though he was able to skate off under his own power, Kane didn't return to the game. Teammate Marian Hossa described Kane as "a little shaky," but coach Joel Quenneville said he had a cut above his eye that required stitches. Quenneville expected Kane to be ready for Wednesday's home game against St. Louis. - Sun-Times

They reiterated that it was “unrelated” to the multiple left knee surgeries he has undergone since January, but DiPietro is questionable for his next start Tuesday at Bridgeport. - New York Daily News

sjs.png D Dan Boyle will continue to be evaluated this week to determine the extent of an injury suffered at the end of Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes, but a team spokesman said Sunday that it does not appear to be serious. No details on the injury were released. Boyle was driven into the boards by Taylor Pyatt just as the final buzzer sounded, and had to be helped from the ice. - Mercury News

The Capitals assigned C Michael Nylander to Grand Rapids (AHL). The move means his $4.875 million cap hit no longer will count against the club's salary cap figure. - Washington Post

I KNOW that it would have been better for the Ducks if LA won....but screw it....I'm happy they lost.
