He has made the initial cut, now the hard part I suppose- he could be playing right here is SK by the end of the month.

McMillan is part of a list of Ducks prospects vying for spots on National teams for the World Juniors.
Gardiner for USA
Illo for Slovakia

Isn't Palmieri fighting for a US spot as well?

You're right, Palmieri is on the selection camp roster for Team USA.
Vatanan is also likely to be a member of Team Finland. (oops!)

Sbisa is interesting. Isn't he expected to play for Switzerland in the Olympics too?

Man did he disappoint me last year when I watched the WJC.

So far, McMillan is enjoying his alliance with the younger Schenn brother and the sublimely skilled Eberle.
"We had some good chemistry in that second intrasquad game,'' McMillan, 19, said after Canada practised Friday afternoon at the Brandt Centre. "I felt we worked well together. We have some skill and some grit and I think we jelled well.''
...
"Anaheim, the NHL team that I'm drafted by, wasn't too happy about (the switch to defence) at the start,'' recalled McMillan, whom the Anaheim Ducks selected in the third round (85th overall) of the 2008 NHL draft. "As it went on, they thought I grew as a player and they thought I learned a lot from it and became more of a consistent hockey player every night. They liked that it happened and they liked that I grew from it, but they said, 'This year you're on forward, for sure.' ''

# Who was the best player on the ice in game five? He wasn't granted a star, but Brandon McMillan ended his junior career with a terrific performance. McMillan scored once shorthanded, had an even strength breakaway goal, and set up Lucas Bloodoff's third period goal to make it 3-1. McMillan will be playing his 20 year-old season in the Anaheim Ducks organization next season. His final game in a Rockets uniform was lights out.

Thanks. They sign all of these college free agents but so far nothing on one of their top prospects. I hope something is in the works.

I pray that this isn't another Tim Brent situation.
