Joffrey Lupul will have back surgery on Thursday and will be out 6-8 weeks. - TSN
The Boston Bruins will be without defenceman Mark Stuart for 4-6 weeks after he suffered a broken sternum Monday night against the Flyers. - Boston Globe
Sabres' forward Patrick Kaleta left Wednesday night's game against the Senators with a suspected concussion after he was hit from behind by the Sens' Jarkko Ruutu bouncing Kaleta's head off the glass. - Buffalo News
Defenceman Adam Pardy was back skating with the main group on Thursday, but he was the extra guy subbing in. - TSN
Hurricanes defenceman Tim Gleason missed Wednesday's game against the Stars after taking a puck off the face against Washington on Friday. He is day-to-day. - Sun Herald
The Hurricanes put forward Mike Ryan on waivers Thursday. - TSN
Stars defenseman Trevor Daley left in the second period of Wednesday's game against the Hurricanes with an apparent shoulder injury. He is doubtful to face the Thrashers on Thursday. - Dallas Morning News
Injured Red Wings' Valtteri Filppula, Niklas Kronwall and Johan Franzen all skated Wednesday at Joe Louis Arena. Filppula appears to be the closest to returning as he skated with the team during practice drills and took some shots. - Detroit Free Press
Defenceman Jack Johnson will miss Thursday's game against the Flames with a foot injury after blocking a shot by the Oilers' Sheldon Souray. - L.A. Times
Defenceman Roman Hamrlik will not be in the lineup tonight for the Canadiens when they face the Wild after suffering an injury Wednesday against the Devils. The Canadiens have recalled Yannick Weber from the AHL to take his place. - TSN
The Senators will be without forward Nick Foligno for a couple of weeks as he will undergo a knee scope.
Both goaltender Pascal Leclaire and forward Chris Neil were on the ice as Senators practice today. Both are still targeting December 23rd to make their return to the Sens lineup. - TSN
Bill Guerin (lower body) took part in Thursday's skate and it looks like he will play this evening against the Flyers. - TSN
Flyers forward Simon Gagne skated Wednesday before his visit with doctors to determine his status as he continues to rehab a groin injury. - Philadelphia Daily News
Bill Guerin did not practice with the Penguins Wednesday however he flew with the team to Philadelphia and likely will play against the Flyers Thursday. - Post Gazette
The Blues gave forward Keith Tkachuk a night off Wednesday to rest a lower-body injury suffered during Tuesday's game against the Flames. Tkachuk feels that he could have played, however the Blues play five games in seven days and decided it was wise to rest their veteran winger. - St. Louis Post Dispatch
Rookie blueliner Victor Hedman left the Lightning's practice Wednesday after taking a shot off the foot. He limped to the locker room but said that he will be able to play. Meanwhile forward Steve Downie is day-to-day after hitting his forehead on the ice during a fight with the Predators' Shea Weber on Tuesday. - St. Petersburgh Times
Luke Schenn will return to the Maple Leafs lineup Friday against the Buffalo Sabres. Goaltender Jonas Gustavsson will serve as backup and may get the start Saturday against the Bruins. The Leafs have recalled Victor Stalberg and assigned goaltender Joey MacDonald to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. - TSN
Defenceman Alex Edler practiced with the team on Thursday and is listed as day-to-day; however he will not be in the lineup to face the Capitals on Friday.
