Forward Ryan Getzlaf sat out a third consecutive game on Saturday. The inflammation on the deep cut near his right knee is preventing him from skating comfortably. Forward Joffrey Lupul isn't expected back until the Olympic break. - Orange County Register

Forward Milan Lucic participated fully at practice on Sunday. He travelled with the team to New York, but the club will likely sit him out during the two-game road swing, so his high ankle sprain can be fully healed. - Boston Herald

Defenceman Dion Phaneuf says his arm is fine. Defenceman Cory Sarich will make the team's road trip. - Calgary Herald

Niklas Hjalmarsson, who took a puck to the head on Thursday was a scratch Sunday. Head coach Joel Quenneville said it's possible he'll return Tuesday. - Chicago Tribune

Defenceman Ruslan Salei hopes to return to the lineup before next month's Olympics. - Denver Post

Forwards Jared Boll (hand) and Alexandre Picard (lower body) are both on the road trip, but both might not play on Tuesday. Coach Ken Hitchcock said Picard is doubtful, and the team's medical staff is awaiting word on Boll. - Columbus Dispatch

According to head coach Pete DeBoer, winger David Booth could possibly be out for the rest of the season because of a concussion. - Miami Herald

Centre Jarret Stoll is expected to be back in the lineup on Monday. He get some special-teams time, and will play on the fourth line. - LA Times

Defenceman Brent Burns, who has been sidelined with a concussion, will travel Sunday with the Wild to Chicago. It's unclear if he'll practice Monday though. - Star Tribune

Both Sergei and Andrei Kostitsyn missed Sunday's game against the Sabres because of lower-body injuries. Defeceman Paul Mara, who had missed five games with a wrist/hand injury did return to the lineup. - Montreal Gazette

Andrei Kostitsyn, Sergei Kostitsyn and Ryan O'Byrne will not travel with the team to Washington. - RDS

Tim Jackman, who suffered a broken orbital bone on Thursday, will miss 3-4 weeks. - New York Post

Rehabbing goaltender Rick DiPietro has been officially recalled from his conditioning assignment in Bridgeport and is on the ice with the Islanders for this morning's practice. There is no word yet on whether he'll make the team's road trip. - Newsday

Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who got a stinger down his left arm in the third period of Saturday's game, said after the contest that he was OK. - Bergon Record

Flyers defenseman Ryan Parent, who has not skated since he was pulled from warmups on December 26 with back problems is scheduled to see another doctor on Monday in Philadelphia. - Philadelphia Daily News

Forward Scottie Upshall sufferd a lower-body injury in the second period of Saturday night's game. - Arizona Republic

Kevin Bieksa has a severed tendon in his left leg just above the ankle and will be in a cast for six weeks. He will be out of the lineup for upwards of two to three months. He is reportedly in Toronto now. Centre Pavol Demitra is two weeks away from playing, and is hoping to get in 10 games before the Olympics. Ryan Johnson has a fracture in his foot and will go on LTI. The team is hopeful Johnson will be skating in 10 days. - TSN

Looks like the Kings are going to put an end to the Sharks 8 game winning streak, the score looks familiar 5-0, now where did I see that score???? But hey I'd give my right arm for an 8 game winning streak. Perspective, its all perspective.
