At least no one was hurt. Common kid your 20...

I really hope he doesnt end up being a waste of a 1st round pick, but more so I hope he gets his stuff straight.

It's been looking like that for the past two years I hate to say.

There have been guys who have done plenty worse and still play hockey and sports in general.

I highly doubt his career is done, maybe his time with the Ducks.

Someone will take a chance on him.

yea you're right it just sucks to see this happen to a young player that isn't living up to what everyone expected out of him. I hope being sent home really wakes him up.

"We care about Logan as a person, first and foremost," Ducks general manager Bob Murray said. "He has some personal issues to deal with at this time, and we feel it's in his best interest to return home for the time being."

Well we dont know how much he had to drink, since he's 20 he coulda had just one beer and got a DUI. hope it brings this kid back to earth as he got a bit cocky after he was drafted, or so I hear

guys that age drink, it's not that big of a deal, it's a big deal of he was wasted, and driving

Good point, I think its less than .08 for those under 21, not sure though. I think most folks hope this break gives him some perspective and he can resume his hockey career. Side note, he had been playing well over the last month or so, bad timing to say the least.

I've always been a fan of his and hoped to see him play for the Ducks someday. Doesn't look like that will ever happen, though.

my understanding of our GM's comments of the matter

i believe that murray understands the fact that theres a whole lot of talent there... and other than a mental issue and not anything else.

a kid who got drafted by a team that had just won the cup went to his head.

im sure when you find out a nhl has drafted you it must be an excellent feeling of "holy shit i just got drafted"

seems that the kid just over endulged in his ego of feeling top of the world... yet he hasnt earned it yet...to him it seems he was feeling invincable.

murray gets this and is just in a way suspending him and sending him home to let his parents sort him out
and im sure they will
any dad should kick the s* out of thier son for getting a dui... for nearly screwing up a familys financial stability is another reason.

he will get it sorted out at home and be back... murray isnt going to give up on so much talent...

I doubt a single beer is enough to get him charged w/ a DUI.

It may not be a big deal for a under age person to drink, but it's STILL against the law... and once he decided to drive, it certainly was a big deal. Lets just hope he realizes the mistake he made was drinking and driving, and not that he got caught.

if he's under aged and admitted to even having one beer, or the officer smelled it or w/e he can be charged due to not being 21 IIRC

In California the under 21 limit is .01. 1 beer in an hour @ about 175 pounds would put him at about .02 or legally drunk for his age.
