I didn't even know the Rangers picked him up. He's a guy I always thought had a tremendous offensive up-side, but never really got a great chance to show it. Or maybe he just isn't as good as I thought he could be. But glad to see he's still in the NHL.

He now has eight points in 21 games with the Rangers this season. He had nine points in 17 games for the Ducks last year. Some things never change...

I imagine he was being sarcastic, saying that he was so invisible here in Anaheim that it can't possibly be true that he scored two goals.

Playing an up-tempo style and using the middle of the ice suits him well. Wish we could try that more often, worked well tonight.

There are some players who are good players no matter where they go. Then there are other players that can be really good in the right situation for them. Jeff Friesen comes to mind in this category - lousy in Anaheim (both times) but he was a perfect fit in New Jersey and thrived there. Christensen has found a good fit in New York. It wasn't that he had no talent, it just wasn't a good fit on this team.

I remember when he was in Pittsburgh how he was constantly talked about being a potential 30-40 goal sniper as he gets older.

Christensen on the other hand, was not qualified by the Rangers, and rejected a two-year deal worth $750,000 per season, making him an unrestricted free agent.
