my absolute favourite is "el nino" niederreiter.
it would be a dream to see 3 very talented swiss on the same NHL team. btw he soon will play with sbisa in portland, so they`ll have a lil bit of good chemistry

I think that it is too early to start speculating, since we don't know the draft positions that the Ducks will have. At one point earlier this season it looked like both the Ducks and Flyers would tank, and the Ducks would get two very high ranking draft choices. I now think that it is more likely that the Ducks will get two mid-round draft choices, somewhere between 8 and 20. However, those numbers could easily change. and I would like to wait to know the Duck's draft positions before deciding which players to target.

Beyond that, I only wish I had a chance to check out the young players. It's really hard to do from SoCal....

When Team USA was playing Switzerland at the WJC and I first heard his name, I thought, "Did the announcer just say Niedermayer?"...of course he didn't, but it did make me do a mental double take.

@Duckbill, I know we need defense but to be honest. None of the players at the draft will fix the problem. Even Fowler will not be able to do that so quickly. So I would prefer to take the prudential way and I would let them develop. It did not hurt Perry and Getzlaf, it did not hurt Bobby Ryan and it will not hurt our other prospects. IMO 18 is basicly too early to step into the NHL. 20 or 21 is early enough and the kids get the time do become more stable, more mature and to overcome their flaws.

Your plan sounds fine except for the Kaberle part.

Gudbranson is a great choice to (big guy who is a good skater and fantastic in his own end, as well as a great team guy)
I see a lot of both of them in the O and they both impress me
As for forwards i would love to see the ducks land Riley Sheahan, hes from my hometown so ive seen him play alot
hes a big kid to with lots of skill and works his butt off everytime he is on the ice
(this is expecting hall and seguin are out of the question as they would obviously be 1, 2 on my wishlist)
???? Kaberle is one of the best offensive d men in the NHL, and IMO is a steal at his salary!

Any of you thinking about taking it in LIVE at the Staples Center, since LA is playing host? With the Ducks having two picks in the first round, it would be nice to see a bunch of Ducks jerseys in the stands.
I'm thinking about it....depending on what tickets go for. I'm assuming it isn't too much, and I doubt the sell out for a non-sporting event.
I've watched on TV the last couple of years, and it seems like a fun atmosphere, and might be worth a Friday away from work for the first round, just to say I did it....

If I'm not out of town, I'm going to do everything in my power to get to the draft. I've always wanted to go and I figure this is my best chance to do so.

I plan on going to the draft. The way I see it it might be my only chance.
