TSN's Ice Chips

Saku Koivu suffered a sprained right knee on Thursday against Los Angeles. The diagnosis was confirmed after an MRI exam on Friday. Koivu is expected to be sidelined approximately 1-2 weeks. - Team Release

Forward Todd White, who has a right leg injury, was a scratch for the second consecutive game on Saturday. - Atlanta Journal Constitution

Forward Marco Sturm is day-to-day with a leg injury. He missed his first game of the season on Saturday. - Boston Globe

Defenseman Cam Barker, returned to action on Saturday after sitting with an upper-body injury. In the first eight minutes of the game, he got into two fights. - Chicago Sun Times

Milan Hejduk who missed Saturday's game with discomfort in his right knee, had surgery on Sunday. He's expected to miss two-to-four weeks. - News release

Forward Brenden Morrow will not play on Monday against the Wild. He is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury. - TSN

Forward Patrik Elias, will be re-examined further Sunday after leaving Saturday's game against the Avalanche on a stretcher with a sore shoulder after being leveled by Avs defenceman Ryan Wilson. - Star Ledger

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury did not play Saturday night because of a fractured left ring finger. He's expected to return late in the week. - Tribune Review
