F Slava Kozlov will be a healthy scratch on Saturday against Tampa Bay, which will end his franchise-record consecutive games-played streak at 251. - Atlanta Journal Constitution

D Christoph Schubert will miss 2-4 weeks with a lower-body injury, according to head coach John Anderson. - Atlanta Journal Constitution

G Kari Lehtonen, out all season recovering from two back surgeries, left Friday for the team's AHL affiliate in Chicago to begin a two-week conditioning assignment. Lehtonen will play for the Wolves against Peoria on Saturday. - Atlanta Journal Constitution

Marco Sturm (leg), Steve Begin (undisclosed), and Byron Bitz (undisclosed) will not play Saturday against Ottawa. Head Coach Claude Julien didn't know whether any of the three would be available for Sunday's game against Carolina. Marc Savard (sprained knee) had a very good day in practice on Friday and, although no one was saying it, a return to action this weekend doesn't seem impossible. - Boston Herald

Manny Legace will be in net against the Flyers on Saturday, marking his first start since Dec. 12. - News Observer

Head Coach Joel Quenneville is staying with the hot hand and will start Antti Niemi in consecutive games for the first time this season Saturday when the Blackhawks visit the Canucks. - Chicago Tribune

Though the Stars list F Tom Wandell as day-to-day and say they will not do an MRI or X-ray until he gets back to Texas, it's possible Wandell could be out for a while. - Dallas Morning News

Forward Nathan Horton broke his leg against the Islanders and will be out for 4-6 weeks. - TSN

Rookie D Dmitry Kulikov is back in the line-up. The team sent F Victor Oreskovich and D Jason Garrison down to Rochester (AHL) on Friday. - Miami Herald

The Wild welcomed D Brent Burns back to the line-up on Thursday for the first time since Nov. 18. He missed 29 games with a concussion. - Star Tribune

Defenceman Paul Mara is out with an upper-body injury. There were five skaters at the club's optional practice on Saturday, plus Carey Price, which means Jaroslav Halak will start against the Rangers and play on back-to-back nights. Sergei Kostitsyn will be a game-time decision. If he's ready to play, D'Agostini will likely be a healthy scratch. Kostitsyn would probably take Darche's place on the Plekanec line and Darche would move to the 4th line. - TSN

C Marcel Goc played just 11 seconds in the third period on Friday before leaving with an upper-body injury. D Joel Ward was out with a groin strain and both will be reevaluated Sunday. - Nashville Tennessean

Ilkka Pikkarainen cleared waivers at noon Friday, but was not assigned to Lowell (AHL). Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said the right winger would remain on the NHL roster. Rod Pelley (lower body) was put on injured reserve retroactive to Monday and the Devils called up Ben Walter from Lowell. - Star-Ledger

G Rick DiPietro, who shut out the Devils 4-0 on Monday, gets another crack at them on Saturday. It will be the third game in eight days for the comebacking goaltender. - Newsday

C Jason Spezza will return to the line-up Saturday against Boston. He has been out since Dec. 14 with torn right MCL, and missed 20 games. Anton Volchenkov is out (upper-body), and Alexandre Picard will play Saturday. Brian Elliott starts in goal for Ottawa. - TSN

Ray Emery will start in goal ahead of Michael Leighton on Saturday against Carolina. - Philadelphia Inquirer

G Marc-Andre Fleury remains day-to-day (broken finger), though he is optimistic of playing Sunday at Philadelphia. The team sent F Nick Johnson and F Dustin Jeffrey to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (AHL) on Friday, meaning that Pascal Dupuis and Max Talbot are ready to return to the line-up. G John Curry was also sent down on Saturday. - Tribune Review/Team Release

D Dan Boyle will probably miss Saturday's game against Buffalo. The Sharks have four days off after that and hope Boyle will be able to play Jan. 28 against Chicago. D Jason Demers has been recalled from Worcester (AHL) to take his place. F Benn Ferriero was sent back to Worcester. - San Francisco Examiner

Head coach Ron Wilson said on Thursday that D Mike Komisarek (shoulder) is still a week away from returning to the line-up. John Mitchell will likely be the only change to the lineup for Saturday's game in Florida. Jay Rosehill will probably be the odd man out. Nikolai Kulemin was added to Russia's Olympic hockey roster.- TSN

The Canucks will be without three of their top defencemen in Willie Mitchell (upper body), Sami Salo (groin) and Kevin Bieksa (leg) for Saturday's game against Chicago. The team recalled defenceman Nolan Baumgartner from the AHL's Manitoba Moose on Friday to help fill in. - TSN

The Capitals hope to have Mike Green, John Erskine and Brian Pothier back in the lineup for Saturday's home game against the Coyotes. D John Carlson was sent back to Hershey (AHL). G Semyon Varlamov\'s sprained MCL kept him off the ice for a seventh straight day. - Washington Post
