Saku Koivu (right knee) was on the ice at Philips Arena on Monday, skating between Bobby Ryan and Dan Sexton. The Ducks have targeted their second-line centre's return for Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Thrashers. - L.A. Daily News

David Booth is making good progress from a concussion sustained in October and could possibly return to the Panthers lineup before the Olympic break. Booth, out since taking an open-ice hit by Philadelphia captain Mike Richards on Oct. 24, went through his first full-scale practice with the Panthers on Monday. Steven Reinprecht missed practice because he was getting his injured foot treated. Reinprecht was struck by teammate Dennis Seidenberg's shot in the third period Saturday and didn't return. - Miami Herald

Undisclosed injuries prevented winger Bill Guerin and defenseman Alex Goligoski from playing for the Penguins against the New York Rangers on Monday night. Forward Chris Conner was recalled from AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to replace Guerin in the lineup.
