Now that Giguere is officially an ex-Duck (still seems weird) I thought we could keep tabs on him and his progress in Toronto in this thread. Let's hope that Giguere and the Leafs meet the Ducks in the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals!

Giguere to start; Phaneuf with Beauchemin?

Following practice Monday, Leafs coach Ron Wilson appointed newly-acquired goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere the starter for the remainder of the season, starting with tomorrow's game against New Jersey.

"He'll get the majority of starts the rest of the way," Wilson told reporters.

Odd that Giguere's back-up is once again named Jonas.

Good to see that Giguere has been named the starter in Toronto and that he will get a chance to do what he wanted to do all along - play.

Good to hear!

I expect Jiggy to be stellar. A change of scenery and a reunion with Alaire will do him well...

I guess that answers the question of which number he'd choose.... I don't like this thread. I never wanted to see this name in this board.

Sure was up here fast wasn't it? Couldn't even wait for a decent time of depression and heart break and good bye's to be said. Sorry, I'm just still in shock. Even though I knew it was the best thing for Jiggy, it's still not the "right thing" in my mind.

I agree 100%. The Goalie Girls need to organize a grieving event. You, me, Francaise and anyone else on AD that was and always will be part of the Goalie Girls Guild need to just have our own something to get past this...

Okay! Two bonuses with having Jiggy in Toronto I can see right off -- we get to hear him speak French more often ( dribble.gif ) and he's going to look incredible in the color blue!

Go Jiggy!!
