Brodeur is letting Denis take over for him tonight. Whatsamatta Marty? Still chafing over that 2003 Conn Smythe? (Just kidding of course). Marty doesn't like playing on Groundhog Day.

ya know... the Leafs are a lot like the Ducks in 05/06!

Be careful Todrick, the Center Ice Package is calling your name biggrin.gif --- and it get's louder the more teams you actually watch!! I am so happy I decided to get it this season. I can tape the games that start early or just wait for the replay.

To make room for Teemu Selanne on the roster, left wing Matt Beleskey was reassigned to the Bakersfield Condors, Anaheim's affiliate in the ECHL. Beleskey, 21, had nine points in 34 games for the Ducks this season. - OC Register

bos.png The Bruins announced in a release that defenseman Mark Stuart had surgery on the pinkie on his right hand and is expected to miss four weeks, probably not returning until after the Olympic break. Coach Claude Julien said the injury was a result of Stuart’s fight with Wayne Simmonds in the Bruins’ 3-2 shootout loss to the Kings Saturday night. - Boston Herald

cal.png Ales Kotalik could not attend practice because he was having travel issues. He will be en route to Calgary at some point. - TSN

car.png Chad LaRose was injured during Saturday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks and did not accompany the team on its four-game road trip. LaRose has an upper-body injury, coach Paul Maurice said. - News Observer

col.png Marek Svatos likely will return to the lineup tonight after missing six games with a chest injury. Milan Hejduk, who had arthroscopic knee surgery Jan. 20, skated briefly before practice but is at least a week from returning. Coach Joe Sacco wouldn't say whether John-Michael Liles would play tonight. Liles was a healthy scratch Sunday against the Rangers. - Denver Post

det.png Andreas Lilja has been assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins on long-term injured-reserve conditioning loan. Lilja has not played since suffering a concussion while fighting Nashville's Shea Weber last Feb. 28. - Detroit Free Press

flo.png Winger Michal Repik was a healthy scratch after getting less than six minutes of ice time Sunday. Nick Tarnasky, who had been scratched eight of the past nine games, replaced Repik in the lineup. - Miami Herald

mon.png Jaroslav Halak has never started after a loss this season...until tonight. - TSN

nsh.png Marcel Goc was back at practice Monday and is expected to return from a three-game injury absence when Nashville plays Phoenix tonight. Goc was centering Ryan Jones and Jordin Tootoo on Monday, but coach Barry Trotz said Goc might center J.P. Dumont and Patric Hornqvist, with Cal O'Reilly centering Jones and Tootoo. - Nashville Tennessean

nj.png Patrik Elias, who suffered a concussion when he was knocked unconscious by a hit from Ryan Wilson in Colorado Jan. 16, is skating and should rejoin the Devils soon for practice. It appears likely he will be able to play games before the Olympics. David Clarkson (leg), who is not yet skating and will not play until after the Olympics. - Star-Ledger

stl.gif Coach Davis Payne said Monday that forwards Alex Steen and B.J. Crombeen, who did not participate in the optional practice Monday, have lower-body injuries. Both are listed as day-to-day. Steen appeared to take a shot off his foot Saturday against Columbus. He left the game, returned and then left again. Crombeen was also seen limping off the ice Saturday. - St. Louis Post-Dispatch

tml.png Mike Komisarek (shoulder) practicing with the team Tuesday and a decision about playing with Leafs and at the Olympics will be made on Wednesday. - TSN

Christian Hanson has been called up for tonight's contest and will likely play centre on the second line. - TSN

Watching the Leafs game as well. Holy crap, are they a different team. Giguere solid while not having to be anything else. I've obviously never been much of a Phaneuf fan, but damn, he looks absolutely great for them. So does Sjostrom. Great job by Burkie.
