In order for Dubnyk to be able to play in the AHL during the Olympic break, he needs to play more games down in Springfield, which was the reason the Oilers sent him down. - Edmonton Sun

min.png G Anton Khudobin is to make his first NHL start Saturday when Minnesota plays host to the Flyers. He made his NHL debut after Josh Harding was injured in Thursday's win over Edmonton. Starter Niklas Backstrom, on injured reserve, has battled back issues and an illness the past two weeks. It will be at least another couple of days before he's back into game shape. - Star Tribune

mon.png The team recalled Ryan White, David Desharnais and Brock Trotter from Hamilton (AHL) on Friday. D Marc-Andre Bergeron will not play in either of this weekend's games. And HNIC is such a classy broadcast. Nice tribute to Brendan Burke, showing the respect that hockey has for family.

The ATL/FLA game was postponed because the Thrashers were stuck in Washington! The start was almost an hour late!

120 mins of shutout hockey, 60 saves in two games for a guy who was destined to be a backup for life in Anaheim. Nicely done Ducks!

Wow!! Absolutely awesome. Way to go Jiggy. I kept cringing when I would check the score, afraid I would see a goal against. So happy I never did!
