USA faces Canada in Olympics' marquee matchup
NHL.com Prediction: Let the teeth gnashing commence as Canada drops a close decision to the Americans in what should be an up-and-down game with vicious hitting and great goaltending on both sides. It says here that the Americans escape with a one-goal victory, perhaps 2-1. But it is not the end of the world for the host team, which has the quality and mental toughness to fight their way into the medal round.

USA. I love the new crop of players and am so guys like Modano and Chelios are gone. Plus the more I hear people drool over Crosby the more I want to see him fail.

Really, it's difficult to say but I like Team Canada. They're playing with a very high level of intensity, determination, pride, urgency and heart. They won't be repeating the same amount of mistakes they did in the 1st game against Team USA. They have proven to the world that they are a major force to be reckoned with. It will be a battle of immense determination, mental toughness, will and force. Solid goaltending will be one major factor. The question is which one will rise to the occasion first? Ryan Miller or Roberto Luongo?
Besides, I would like to see Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf and especially Scott Niedermayer walk away with a gold medal; before Scott's departure from the hockey world.
GO DUCK POWER!!

Scott already has a gold so gotta go with USA. Getz & Pears already have a cup.. Bobby needs some sort of locker room bragging rights.
That being said if Canada wins I would not be crushed. Same goes if Finland gets hot and takes gold.
Looks like a couple of Ducks probably will win gold and that is always a good thing.
