The first match is supposed to be on USA Network and the other three supposedly on CNBC.

OT: USA and Canada faceoff against one another for the Gold Medal in women's hockey on Thursday.
I don't see how Americans can lose this one as you've got two North American teams vying for the Gold. wink.gif

I thought Canada/Germany was now going to be live on NBC.

At least that's what I thought I read yesterday.

They came to their senses, I guess. But now we don't get to see the game live, because NBC likes to punish the west coast for being better. Should we make a separate topic for east/west coasts?

NBC only goes out of their way to promote USA teams. And only those teams that create a buzz.

A bit off topic but I saw a "reporter" actually say while standing in front of those iconic sails on the Pan Pacific Hotel that they were something festive added for the Olympics! Really? Leave NYC much, Miss Clueless?

If I were a Canadian I would definitely not listen to NBC or any of their affiliates during this entire two weeks. sick.gif As an American listening to NBC, I have often wanted to put my foot or a rock or anything heavy through the screen.

NBC has demonstrated how to poorly handle the olympics, they have set new (low) standards for sports broadcasting.

I am still in awe of the fact that in the Opening Ceremonies pre-show they showed the full video of the Georgian luger's death no less than 4 times...

Nice 7:00PM family entertainment

Could we get Heatley, Getzlaf, Thornton, Perry, Seabrook, Keith and Luongo to play for Germany, then? That would finally give us a team that could at least get one single win in a tournament...

at least they warned before showing it... in Russian broadcast they just showed it... w/o warning... i was like IDIOTS!!! i can in some way understand how it makes broadcast "interesting" and there are people who at least don't mind seeing stuff like that, but how about taking care of the rest 95% of population?

What happened? I tuned in with 18 minutes left in the 1st and I missed the goal. At least Swiss has been on the attack for a decent period of time. It shouldn't be too long before they score.

long shot from the neutral zone, Hiller dove on it with the glove and head but only pushed it away... right on the stick of Kaljuzhnyj... who then shot the puck at the net. Hiller made the stop and lost the puck somewhere under his own pads... Kaljuzhnyj then pushed it from under him into the net...

Ouch, oh well it happens to the best of them. Like that goal that Brodeur let in off his stick in the Ducks/Devils Stanley Cup Finals.

Nice, tied up just like that.

Heatley is born in Germany smile.gif

But honestly, even if we could beat Canada (yeah, haha....nah, we canīt) We would loose vs Russia!

Really, we s*ck... Badly... I know that we can not match Canada, USA, Finland, Sweden, Russia etc. But itīs a shame that we are not able to score goals.. In every big tournament our offense is not really on the ice sad.gif

well it's better for him to have an "oopsie" 40 sec into the game for 1-0 than almost at the end of the game for 4-4...
