Did you post this because his team's season is over as they didn't get a bid for the NCAA'a and you are guessing?
Or do you have knowledge of a actual rumor that you can cite?

But this is a 2 year ELC, not a 3 year ELC which sounds to me like he'll finish up his final year in BU and then join w/ the Ducks.

Not according to the original post on this story which states that Bonino would forgo final year of eligibility at Boston University.

He can't. Signing a professional contract means a player is professional athlete, and the NCAA has rules against that.

do you mean this year or next year becasue if he plays his senior year itl only give him one season as a pro (not in college) under contract

Yeah, that too

Which is exactly why I think this is a sign Anaheim feels he is ready. If he was a senior it would be another matter, but as a junior Anaheim is saying(again, IMO) "We think he's capable of making the line-up next season."
It also tells me that Anaheim might be close to having an AHL team as their affiliate. If he struggles to start next season they will be able to send him to the AHL, which I consider more productive when you have your own affiliate.

Very excited to see finally locked up for at least 2 years and I do expect him to wear a Ducks jersey within that 2 years.

Yeah. The skating part is the thing that bugs me. Anaheim has a great strength and conditioning coach, and they have really shown they can improve a player's skating, so that's a good thing. But it certainly hasn't appeared to be a strength in his game, which is very strong in other areas(including clutch play IMO).

He does kind of remind me of Perry in these highlights. Good passer too, little Getzish. The kid has some skill. Future 2nd line center I hope.

And hearing Newton on the post-game tonight, it sounds like if (hopefully not when) the Ducks get eliminated from playoff contention officially that Newton and maybe even Bonino could see some game action. I'd like that personally.
And as for the skating, what was said of Corey Perry and especially Bobby Ryan when they were signed?
Are we convinced they're OK by this point? haha

Shortly after the Terriers’ season ended on Friday night, Bonino, the Ducks’ top prospect, worked out a two-year deal with the club and by Sunday was skating with Ducks players Ryan Carter and Joffrey Lupul in Anaheim.
“It’s surreal,” Bonino said. “You grow up wishing to be in the NHL and now it might actually happen. I keep pinching myself. I can’t believe I’m in Anaheim right now.”
...
He will wear No.63.
