Can't complain about that!
Question for anyone in the know: Is it fair to assume he's "NHL or Juniors, not AHL eligible" like Sbisa was? Based on his age, I'm assuming that's the case, until I hear otherwise.
I would think it would be a stretch to assume he's NHL ready, but here's to giving him a chance to prove me wrong!

Like Troy said, he'll be AHL eligible.

Man Murray does like those college and junior players that are undrafted and a few have worked out in the past and he looks like he has some potinetal, give him a year in bako or with the crunch and lets see what he can do

Oh, he was drafted: 2009 Draft, 2nd round, 37th overall. Picked by Anaheim.
I think he's just been overlooked a bit since the two 1st round picks get more attention.
And, thanks guys for setting me straight on his age and AHL status. Guess I assumed most players from the 2009 draft were younger than that....

Clark has been suspended indefinitely following his hit from behind on Frontenacs forward Ethan Werek in Game 6 of the series on Sunday in Brampton.
Werek suffered a season-ending knee injury on the play.

Might explain why they are sitting on an announcement, for now....

for the ones who want to see the hit, go at the 1:55 mark.
From this angle it seems Clark barely touched Werek...

The Ducks have signed defenseman Mat Clark to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, no terms of the deal were disclosed. The three-year contract begins with the start of next season (2010-11).

Well...except for the fact that they think he's "Mat", instead of everyone else using "Matt".

“The Ducks were monitoring me, and they were giving me advice on what to improve and what to keep working on. I took that and applied it and added it to what the coaches with the Battalion were telling me. They really helped me develop into a player that the Ducks could appreciate.”

Hill had just one pro game on his resumé coming into the night, while Clark was playing in his debut, but the youngsters — particularly Clark — were equal to the task on a night that saw the Moose play much better defensively than they did the previous night in 3-2 victory over Peoria.
Clark had two great scoring chances in overtime and was on the ice in the final minute of overtime.
"He’s a kid Anaheim is very high on," said Moose head coach Scott Arniel. "Randy Carlyle speaks very highly of this kid."

Matt Clark, playing just his fourth game as a pro, played 26 shifts and more than 17 minutes. Up front, Schroeder scored three goals, the first Moose hat trick since last year’s playoffs, while Sexton and Stastny added singles.
