Thanks for the info, looks like Murray is finally implementing our young players into the organization.

Barring an unbelievable camp, he'll stay with Guelph next year since he's not AHL eligible. Glad to hear our 1st rounder was signed. Let's hope he doesn't become a Logan MacMillan v2.0.

awesome news. 2 of the ducks top 3 picks from last year signed already. I wonder how long Kyle Palmieri plans on playing at Notre Dame, I would imagine at least another year.

Anyone know why he wasn't assigned to an AHL team, when Matt Clark was?

He isn't AHL eligible. He either plays for the ducks or his junior team. And if we send him down to his junior team we can't later recall him (like w/ Sbisa this year)

Just curious, but why sign him to a contract if he can't play for the AHL team until after next season? Why not sign him at this time next year?

it doesn't kick in til he plays pro hockey, its probably a reward for the season he had, and avoids any possible issues of him not signing next year, in which case he'd re-enter the draft

A little bit about Kadri and Holland wink.gif

QUOTE
So, less than a year after the 2009 draft (in which Kadri went 7th and Holland 15th) Jim is saying that Holland is looking like a better pick than Kadri.

Holland's Tunnel Vision
QUOTE
While it’s dubious for someone Holland’s age to make the opening night roster, he’ll get another look two months from now in training camp. But for now he’s enjoying the whirlwind week with the rest of the Ducks rookies, learning more and more about the inner workings of the Anaheim organization.

“I know I have the skill to play at this level,” Holland says. “It’s just a matter of doing it. As a first-round pick, I’m going in with a little bit of pressure put on myself to do well. You just go in and roll the dice a little bit and hope it turns out well.”
“The workouts have felt pretty good and the week is shaping up,” Holland says. “It’s fun because we all come together and get to know each other as guys, not just as competitors out there. This is hard work, but we try to make the most of it and have as much fun as we can.”
